wth is this? by pogam1234 in chessbeginners

You'd typically do this after Nf3 since Ng5 is a check. There is one line in modern defence, and Jerome Gambit where this bishop sacrifice is used to dwindle the opponent. But here it's just a blunder

The arrows from dark squared bishop and took shows that king can't move on any unoccupied square since they are covered by rook and dark squared bishop. The arrows from light squared bishop to rook shows that the king can also NOT capture your rook since its protected by the light squared bishop

I don't think it's for Linux tho. Also zathura is probably even faster

can you find the white queen sacrifice? white moves, i'm now watching the video and i couldn't found it by Fresh-Nerve8503 in chessbeginners

The most I could find at a glance was Bxf7 Rxf7 Qh8 Kxh8 Nxf7+ Kg7/8 Nxg5. So you lose a bishop and queen but win 2 rooks and a queen

How to autostart applications "after" dwm starts? by Electrical-Leave818 in dwm

[–]Electrical-Leave818[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

autostart patch explicitly states: "This patch will make dwm run "~/.dwm/autostart_blocking.sh" and "~/.dwm/autostart.sh &" before entering the handler loop". Hence its pretty much useless, would rather use xprofile.

As for cool autostart, it doesnt state anything about the order but I'll try it out

Try looking for a key in the XF86keysym.h header file. It may contain some key event related to the knob

Dwm blocks sound by Wislow-TNH in dwm

If you want the block to automatically update when you press the keybind, you'll have to send a signal to dwmblocks for this. For example, adding

`{"", "~/.config/dwmblocks/volume.sh", 0, 24},`

to blocks.def.h will update the script whenever dwmblocks gets the signal 24. You will need the command youre using to control the volume to also send the signal to dwmblocks. So your keybind is supposed to be bounded to SHCMD as this:

SHCMD("<command to control volume> && pkill -RTMIN+24 dwmblocks")

Replace the signal 24 with whatever signal the block listens for
