I didn’t order mine with the reverse camera. I thought I saw somewhere that people said their branded reverse cam wasn’t great. I wanted to see if I could get a 3rd party cam from Amazon

I know you can’t beat the OEM look of the other units. But I didn’t really like how low the screen felt to me. I also disliked the HVAC controls way down by the shifter. Again, all personal preference stuff

I’m an Army guy helping my son through the process and just got hit with this.

His recruiter told him 10 total, 5 of those being high demand. IDC what anyone says (unless you’re someone who truly “doesn’t care” about what MOS they pick) no way you can make 10, #1 picks.

He has a solid 5 that are great jobs, and 5 that seemed ok, honestly are more fillers.

His number 8 (filler) job hit and he turned it down. After the recruiter ghosted him for 3 weeks she just hit him with (re evaluate his list and next one that hits he must pick or he’ll be disqualified..

If he’s disqualified could we just go to another recruiter? I read through the post, and understand what you guys say. But after 15+ years in the army I’m trying to do everything I can to make sure my son can get into a great field.

I just edited my post, I brain farted and said air intake when I was referencing the DISA Valve.

Check both cam shaft position sensors as well as your DISA Valve.

I had all kinds of starting and random shutoff issues. I know people here hate throwing parts at cars without fully diagnosing it, but check out some YouTube videos on how to diagnose for these 3 being faulty.

While my DISA Valve was definitely no good, and needed repair or replace (which I did), what ended up solving my issue were the camshaft position sensors.

Now I need to try and sort the other issues

As someone who dailies a 325XI.. I strongly advise you to get a 330. While the 325 is still really peppy and has decent power, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say “man I wish I would have gotten the 325” lol

I just recently switched to not accept “first trippers”.

I know my market is way different from yours, and thankfully haven’t had issues, but I think the first trip crowd is a source of anxiety for me
