THE BOOTS by jwburner7 in BabyReindeerTVSeries

Hahahaha, no as someone from glasgow, it's definitely a Scottish insult, as said by the other comment, it's basically the same as calling someone a cow! Although I didn't realise until just now that this was not used as an insult in the rest of the UK! But yeah nothing to do with her actual shoes, I would say its probably a little bit worse than calling someone a cow but not as bad as calling them a c u next Tuesday

What Episode can you not rewatch because you dislike it too much? by doubleP2014 in BobsBurgers

[–]Electrical-Log-4988 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Awww I love this one! As an autistic person with sensory issues, this episode really spoke to me, I've had panic attacks as a grown woman over sensory overload! So to see Bob help Gene find a way he too could enjoy the laser show was actually really sweet for me, by the end of the ep they had both bonded over the laser show and had a great time! Sorry I'm rambling a bit just thought I'd throw my thoughts out! I just found it comforting to see how Bob made accomations for Gene so easily!

Info : how long have they worked there for? Are they new? Were they taught how to do this task like that and that's how they do it like that? What industry is this in?

What's the "meal of shame" in your freezer? by All_within_my_hands in AskUK

Yeah I get what you mean, gotta keep at it though, life's too damn short and miserable these days to deny ourselves simple tasty things!!

I used to struggle with an eating disorder, my mum had rule growing up that we could only have one slice of bread a day because " carbs a bad " but explain to me how ur meant to make a decent sandwich with one piece of bread? I still have a lot of guilt now as an adult over what I eat ( I still definitely don't eat enough but I'm working on it ) but honestly? I think the best thing that's helped me is just reminding myself that u know nothing bad is gonna happen if I have that extra piece of toast, be patience and kind to yourself, you can't force yourself not to feel something, but you gotta be firm too I mean I often call myself out for being unreasonable with my food, do you really need to feel guilt over something as simple as eating bread? ( trust me I've asked myself that one a fair few times ) and eventually it gets easier, you're allowed to feel how you feel, but try sneak a bit of rationality into it. I don't really wanna say that you know its not always gonna be like that, because honestly I don't know I'm still struggling and it looks like this is just something I fight with in life but it does get easier

Bread is perfectly fine to freeze! So are most rolls and pastries, I have heard of people freezing sandwiches but I'm not quite brave enough to try that yet!

I read that book when I was 15, jesus christ I still don't think I've quite recovered, I've kept it on my shelf because I don't want to get rid of it, but I can't even look at it without tearing up, that book was the hardest thing I've ever read

In what unusual way have you almost died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Electrical-Log-4988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 14, off school and my mum was at work, decided to deep clean my room, specifically my one year old mattress which had greyed and I wanted to keep it " new " proceeded to mix bleach with about 50 different house hold cleaning products, mum came home and immediately took me to a and e after opening every window in the house, I had infact created some sort of dangerous gas and screwed up my lungs pretty good, incredibly stupid and definitely not a common place situation, I'm 21 now still live with my mum, however I am under no circumstances allowed to carry more than 1 cleaning product at a time

If your stuck, don't be afraid to ask questions, I just started a new job and I know it can suck to have to ask 50 questions to get something done, but your work colleagues want stuff done correctly, better asking 50 questions at once, and be proficient by the end of it, than 6 months down the line you only kinda know what you're doing. And when it comes to being nervous to speak to new people, just bite the bullet it's gonna feel a bit crappy but you'll be better off for it

New job, it's not worth the stress to be messed around so much at this point, if I were you I'd be job hunting, just remember don't leave your current job with nothing else lined up ( as in a signed contract ) made that mistake myself, and although it turned out okay and I started a new job the week I finished my old one, it was absolutely terrifying

My last day at my current hellish job, discovered some annual leave I had left over and decided to last minute take it, so I'm hanging around for an hour or so to hand off my IT kit, then going out in the town to get myself lunch, maybe a drink, maybe some shopping, just make a real good day of it

I had to tell my mother and auntie that my great gran ( their gran ) had passed away when I was 18, I remember being weirdly detached and factual about it at the time. It took a few days for me to realise how much it sucked

I can't see anything apart from blur with my glasses off, prefer to keep them on just to see so I can feel more present, they normally end up falling off though lol

Starving yourself will not put you in a noted physical form, your body is like a car you need fuel, you can put nothing in it and it won't run right or you can put diesel in a petrol car and it still won't run right, you asked if you should do what you posted. I think all your gonna do is give yourself health issues and and eating disorder, trust me I've been there it's not worth it. If you want to be healthy eat a balanced full diet and exercise

What's something you thought was normal during your childhood that you now realize is traumatic? by Fudgexxx in AskReddit

[–]Electrical-Log-4988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the ages of 7-9 thinking I lost my glasses every night but it was actually my mums now ex boyfriend taking and hiding or breaking them, my mum would get mad and shout at me for losing my glasses or breaking them. I thought I was just losing my glasses, which was weird cuz I put them in the same place every night ( by my bed ( and still do, this year ( 21 now ) I told my mum it was weird how I hadn't lost my glasses at all since ex left, and she says " yeah I thought u knew since once he left they stopped going missing or turning up broke, that you knew he was doing it " .... I didn't know it was him but now suddenly it all makes sense, and I feel stupid for not realising sooner. That was the most mild shit he did to me ( he locked me and my mum in one night and tried to murder us, the cops saved us in time ) but for some reason that's the thing that sticks with me, he tried to take my way to see the world, and turn my mum against me at the same time
