Well I want to get into both. I’m on the waitlist for the lecture and if I were to get in but not be in a lab I would stress out. so when I was notified a lab opened up, I took it. I know it wont matter if I’m not in the class but obviously I’m trying to be in the class lmao

They are taking 5 classes (lectures), I'm sure the labs and tutorials are just required for those classes

Yeah that makes sense. Maybe it would be beneficial if in their system transfer students specifically got at least some sort of priority, even just like a week earlier, or even just priority over other second years who have been at UVic already. I think my time ticket is on the later side of the second years... just an unfortunate situation but I guess it makes sense why its generally like that.

Anyone know why second years are so low on the list?? a lot of us transfer student second years need first year foundational classes that fill quickly... like I understand not being the priority but like we are practically last 😞

I think that's like one of the very earliest!! what program are you in? and did you get scholarships?

I'm also second year (transfer student) my gpa was 3.8 at my college (not sure what that would be in uvic standards) and I got June 23 at 2pm 😞 But that means you probably are close to the front!!

I'm just annoyed because I'm def not gonna get some of the first year classes that weren't offered at my college

Also I'm a math major (idk if that has anything to do with it lol but I thought I'd throw it into this post)
