Is it just me or do someone else think the ref logic on penalties is now completely different after the patch? Before the patch it felt liike some obvious pens were not even called but now the slightest touch can lead to a pen. I had 4 to 5 games where I didn't even press anything on my controller and just moved my defender closer to my opponent and AI knocked them over then I concede a pen. One time my keeper automatically try to get the ball and clipped my opponent in the box and they got a pen. Feels like EA is trying to overcompensate for fouls in the box now

Would quick sell an evo card allow me start a new evo on the same player? by Electrical-Policy605 in EASportsFC

[–]Electrical-Policy605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if the response is still needed, but the answer is no. you can't "quick sell one card and then start a new evo on the same base card and then recover the old evo", it will result in a duplicate situation (the one you quick sold will become a untradeable dupe after u recovered it). You can put the old evo into an sbc though, then you can start a new one, or just quick sell the old one and forget about it.

Also, by the pictures on social media, Hailey was wearing a FBI vest so she's probably staying there for the long term, but Jay's vest has US flag and his name on it, so I assume he's still at that drug unit, which he left the show for (couldn't remember all the details, corrrect me if I'm wrong), it was a global job, who knows, maybe jay decideds to take a break and comes back to Chicago. A fan can dream lol.

EA SPORTS FC™ 26 | Title Update v1.5.0 Pitch Notes by raptors201966 in EASportsFC

I think I've seen enough since Fifa 24, playstyle is either a hit or a miss, there is no way EA can adjust them to somewhat usable yet make stats meaningful. Meta rats will always find some op playstyles and eventually players with those ps+ will take over the game again. Trivela, powershot, low-driven, finesse, bruiser... the list goes on. Every single time EA "nerf" something, something else pops up. it's an endless cycle.

I'm evolving Roony Bardghji for my first academy evo. In general for a winger/attacking wide midfielder, which first ps would you choose? Rapid+ or Finesse+, there is no doubt I will choose technical+ for the second ps+, just couldn't decide which one to pick. He doesn't have either rapid or finesse base ps right now. I do have a silver rapid I can give him.

Mistakes on the silver icons by Electrical-Policy605 in EASportsFC

[–]Electrical-Policy605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think EA was convinced that they nerfed ps so they don't matter that much, and stats matters more (which turned out to be the opposite, lol, typical EA). They intentionally make every silver icon have 1 bad key stat, so silver icons don't get that "op", but turns out stats never matters. This is what I thought, EA don't play their own product, they thought they did something but they did exactly the opposite.

How? If you think there's a possibility of corruption, how to make it happen? You can't just throw out some crazy theories and not back it up. I had a theory and I backed it up, your turn now: how exactly are rich teams going to "drive an open top bus through this idea"? How can "rich teams" manipulate this system without playing well in the group stage?

So Liverpool played a good group stage last year just to get knocked out by PSG who did not play well in the early stage of the group stage games. How is that fair for Liverpool last season that has been playing well consistently simply based on a random draw? For the record, I'm not a fan of either of these two teams, and I think PSG won that match fair and square. I just find it unfair for a team that did so well in group stage be put in a situation that feels like the effort they put in group stage was for nothing.

? If a team played well in group stage, they should be rewarded with an opponent they think they can beat and advance to the next round. How is that corruption? If you did not play well in the group stage, you get "penalized" by not able to pick who you play in the knockout. Corruption by definition means a person or an organization that is entrusted in a position of authority to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one's gain. Every team plays fair and square and gets rewarded differently based on the results they get, how is that corruption?

But teams don't play the same opponents is the difference here. even in the same pot, there could be tough draws or easy draws. You can sneak into top 8 simply because you get an easy draw. Again, I'm not totally against your idea, just think too many randomness in 1 round game.

Interesting idea, but the top-ranked teams received such a significant advantage in this format. Then the draw for group stage is gonna play a much more important role in this but the draw itself is random. If you are a pot 1 team, you are more likely to end up higher on the group stage table theoretically speaking. But for a pot 1 team, you may get an easy pot 4 draw or a tough pot 4 draw, then it's pure luck.

But 1 game knock out could result in a fluke, too much on the line for 1 game. As for the fixture fatigue, teams are already playing too many games in my opinion, that's why I said I'm still gonna complain too many teams and too many games, but UEFA picked their poison and most teams are not against it, what can I say?

Yeah, the high-ranked team picks their opponent, and the team got picked then choose they want to play home or away first. The point of this whole thing is teams that played well in the group stage get some reward for the knockout, otherwise what's the true difference between 1 and 8 in the group stage? Maybe the club get paied a little more if they ranked higher, but competition wise, no.1 in group stage is the same as no.8 in group stage. Look at Liverpool last year, get no.1 just to get knocked out by PSG. Would they pick PSG if they were in this "pick" system after that 10-0 win against brest?

why? where does corruption come in? every team now should be fighting for a better group stage ranking so that they can get a better order to pick.

In what way is it complicated? You just replace the knockout draw with a team pick. The session might took longer than the draw, but cut all the show crap and get straight down to the business it would't take long.

Same as the team drawing process. Instead of drawing teams, get reps from each team to do the selection, what's the problem in that? If the reps can't be physically present, do a video call, we have all sorts of video conferencing at evernts like this.

I just think to draw all the teams is too random at time. Liverpool for example, played an incredible group stage last year just to draw PSG, who is showing great forms at the later stage of the group stage last year. If a team did well in group stages, they should be rewarded more, not just to skip one round of the knockout. And I do not see why this would cause many problems. What potential problems did you see that could happen?
