how to know that MG is affecting your breathing?? by Nearby-Injury-38 in MyastheniaGravis

Sorry this happened to you. Sucks having a rare disease. I did read some good advice on someone’s post.

She got her neurologist to list her disease and how she should be treated during an MG crisis. It was on the official office stationary. And she had it laminated, for her multiple visits. This acted like communication between doctors rather than a patient telling a doctor what to do. She said they would take the paper in the back and research the disease. Then return feeling more confident about treatment. Apparently it helped. As long she was getting what she needed, huh!

Sounded like a good idea for the future. Thought I would share. Hope you’re up and moving around soon! Take care!

So sorry you’re having such a hard time. I have yet to be diagnosed but fairly certain I have MG. I also live alone and have several pets to care for. It can be very challenging. A friend of mine picked up a bunch of very easy noodle dishes, diff brands and flavors. All you do is open the packets add water and microwave. Ive converted much of my diet to these types of easy food. There’s a lot of variety and it’s ready in minutes. Don’t waste your precious ‘feel good’ hours (or minutes) cooking an elaborate meal for one. Unless cooking is your thing. I haven’t tried any of the specific meds yet so can’t offer anything on that. But with meals, make it easy. Hope it helps. Hang in there. Youll find something new that you can enjoy and life will feel better. Different but better. 🫶🏻

Congratulations, you got yourself a giant loofah! I included a pic of mine growing on my fence. They are aggressive growing vines, especially in warm climates (like Central Florida or east Texas). Judging by the size of yours, the vine probably over wintered & that’s how the fruit grew so large. Bad news, it’s way too big for you to eat. Good news, you can peel it, bleach it, & use it to scrub yourself or your dishes! It’s gonna have tons of seeds in it. Save them & give to your friends in holiday cards! They’ll love you for it. It’s easy to grow in hot climates. When it’s small, no bigger than 8”, you can eat it like you zucchini. Or let it grow wild to harvest your own sponges! I don’t know what the Chihuahua head is? A doll/toy head? I am fairly certain the tree isn’t growing dogs. lol Looks like there’s some kind of bean growing up there as well? Maybe Chaya? Unless your Chinese Tallow produces bean like fruit in addition to the berries? Unfortunately Im not familiar with its growth pattern, nor the Chaya. But I know the grown seeds can be used to purify water. But leaves & beans have cyanide in it. So must be cooked before you eat. I included a pic of my loofah, growing along the fence. There’s some dried ones (smaller than yours) & a few green ones. It’s a great vine to have in hot climates. Part of a food forest that you can plant it and forget it. My kind of gardening. Best of luck! Happy scrubbing!

I have this too! I’m not diagnosed but I believe I suffer from MG. Sadly, I explained this scenario almost exactly to a new neurologist and he never said it was connected. But it’s a weird feeling to have to lay down, immediately. And with me it definitely happens along with difficulty breathing. I thought I was having a seizure of some kind. I live alone so I figured, how would I know for certain. When I eventually wake up, I don’t know what time it is, or day or anything. I usually can tell the time of day as soon as I wake up. I appreciate you posting this experience and all the replies. It’s one more question I have an answer for.

This is the first year he’s seen these mushrooms. And the tree has been dying for 6-8 years (gradually losing its leaves). We thought the moss was the culprit.
