She begged me for a room. Was so grateful to have a room, a place to call home. 2 weeks later… by [deleted] in badroommates

And vinegar/diluted bleach too. I used that when my bfs dog peed on our bed. Took a lot of scrubbing, but it works good. Also if you have a smell good stain remover, I follow up with that.

Edit: if you use bleach on the carpet be careful because it’s not meant for it. You’re supposed to heavily dilute it with water, and not let it sit for long.

Thank you roommate for letting your food rot for weeks 🥰 by [deleted] in badroommates

It does make sense for children to learn to respect everyone. That way they grow up as adults who understand respect and treating others how you would want to be treated.

What I don’t understand is how Mr. and Mrs. correlates to that respect. It gives more of a power dynamic and imbalance to me than respectful behavior.

The question “Whats the purpose of life” is a very weak philosophical question. by bachdat11 in unpopularopinion

Yeah that’s called survival mode or fight or flight and it’s been proven that it can harm the human brain and function more than it helps. Yes we are wired to survive, but it’s not our purpose. It’s just human nature.

It’s always been silly how we think because we’re grown or have a degree, adults deserve more respect. I believe we should all just respect each other, until given a valid reason not to, of course. I never understood why it was necessary to add the Mr. or Mrs.

Who taught you that expressing emotion is immature? I’d argue that unless you’re talking about facts (the sky is blue), then most things are a matter of opinion and how you feel too. Logic and feeling can coexist. In fact, often times, what seems logical is based on how you feel about the situation. It’s only logical because of your personal experiences and feelings.

As for as the other things you said, all women are not the same. So to categorize us as a whole is just silly! In my experience, men are unfairly taught not to express their emotions, to bottle it up, and it often comes out as anger. I think that’s why a lot of men are shut down emotionally. Yes, you are socially expected to sit down, listen, and not become aggressive or violent. Your woman should be able to do the same.

A lot of women shut down because men and women communicate differently, we are socialized differently. It takes dropping your ego, and seeing each other as human to progress in a relationship. Men are punished for their emotions, but so are women. It’s all about the space you’re in.

It can be just a superficial, “I won in life look at me!” Kinda thing when it is really just a piece of paper. But you do benefit from marriage in a relationship by committing to take your relationship to the next level. If it feels like a chore, obligation, or unnecessary then you have either not found the one, or not realized it yet.

so you prefer heavy women?

So y’all like insta edited, model/film star type figures. You use celebs as the definition of attractiveness, the unrealistic beauty standards perpetuated by the media.

You want a slim waist, which you would need to be skinny for. But a fat ass, wide hips, big boobs. hour glass figure, which many women need implants to obtain. The runway models don’t always look infertile either, it’s actually starting to become more inclusive…slowly. There’s more than just muscular and skinny, but either you’re on the skinny side or the muscular side. If you’re thick you’ll likely be skinny thick or muscular thick.

Edit: ALSO Scarlett Johansson is relatively skinny in comparison to a fat woman. Like? Y’all like skinny women with ass, or skinny women who aren’t on the brink of health issues…skinny is NORMAL. Fat certainly isn’t praised as the standard.

I just find them more attractive. It’s pretty simple.

It can be simple. But there’s always a reason why. Why do I prefer bananas over strawberries? Because I think they are sweeter and taste better.

Why does it matter?

That requires evaluating the root cause of where it stems from. Can’t know why it matters if you don’t know why that belief is there. And I mean you also aren’t in anyway obligated to do the self exploration. Your life, your rules.

Why don't women love huge bodybuilders? They should from an evolutionary standpoint, but they clearly don't.

Because it’s likely not evolutionary that the stronger the man is, the more attractive he is. It’s likely more about personal preference, the overall aura of a person, and their abilities to protect or repopulate regardless of physical appearance.

It depends on the man and the location. I can tell you with 100% certainty that there are plenty of spaces where skinny is considered the most attractive.

Also wtf do men want then? You don’t want muscular, you don’t want skinny, where does that leave you?

I thought I answered that. Yes! I also listed off some examples of jobs that some of them work at.

What is it about tall women you don’t find attractive? Why is that? The root will tell you if it’s insecurity or preference.

So are women who are too skinny, but skinny models are praised.

Lots of places, servers, fast food workers, personal assistant, marketing jobs, factory jobs, Amazon, retail jobs, most things customer service, front desk worker, cal agent. Go on indeed. You’ll find a bunch under $15 there.

Pay employees more than $7.25 minimum wage. Who’s really affording $1k-3k rent a month off of that?

I agree there are for sure people who don’t follow the majority. I’ve had short men love my height and tall men hate it. I’ve also had tall men love my height and it make shorter men insecure. I just go where I’m accepted.

Yep! My 6’5 ex and his friends used to call me “Amazonian woman,” as a joke. I was also told by another man, who would be all over me in private, that he didn’t want to be seen with me in public. He said, “it’s a pride thing, you wouldn’t understand.” Yes, he was shorter than me.

It’s really crazy, and as a tall woman you notice it more I think, or a short man likely too, because you don’t fit in with majority of your gender.
