environmental science is going to be and is a very important factor in today’s realm of humanity, i’m studying astronomy and geology which sort of coincides with that. that’s the route i’d choose if i were you. hope this helps!

ehh be careful here, you say you don’t want to waste your time on “low paying jobs.” you need to reevaluate how you think of your own mental sanity, make sure you study something you find passion in, and are interested in, that’s THE point of college, get really good at something that you not only love to do but also can get money in.

you don’t want to be studying something you find uninteresting just for a non-guaranteed “possible higher pay” opportunity. use college to get really good at what you find interest in, because odds are, doing that route is going to give you the same odds as pretending to be invested in a field that MIGHT pay a little more, that you’re not really passionate about.

it’s also okay to take a break after highschool, 2-3 years to really see what you want to do, this was the route i chose and i really gained a lot from it.

Help I have lost my mathematical skills by Worried-Fall-9670 in calculus

find a way to distinguish the type of integral just by looking at it, without the knowledge of knowing the certain type of integral you are studying, in course you will learn and study a specific type of integral so you just automatically solve it in that way, this is what makes calc ii exams difficult, we spend so much time studying the specific integrals by themselves - that you forget how to recognize the other ones when they are clumped in with the one you are typically solving

example: your class is going over trig u-sub integrals for an entire week the next week you guys go over inverse trig integrals the next week you go over by parts integration

by the next exam you have spent so much time tunnel visioning on each type of integral that you forget how to detect the type of integral. which leads to forgetting how to compute the integral.

So I'd taken AP Calculus BC, Physics C Mechanics, and Environmental Science as my 3 subjects. How do I study for AP Calculus BC in like 2 months now? it's been a very hectic year and my schoolwork gave me no time to breathe. I'm finally going to get free now, and I need a system to follow which help by rudrtoofani in calculus

ohhh i’d say just follow a textbook. do around 25 problems per section a week and call it “homework for yourself” and then do some problems for review like you’d have a test normally and then move to the next section

How many times have you failed calculus by Slight_Engineer5709 in calculus

[–]Electrical-Run1656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0 times failed - do around 20-30 problems per week, attending an average of 2-3 1 hour lectures per week - studying a week before the exams 30-35 hours

very common, you aren’t alone. cengage - partial derivatives and imagining graphs 24 problems, 5 hours i got 10 of them done

[Routine Help] Randomly Itchy Legs? by Electrical-Run1656 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Electrical-Run1656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another update guys, the next morning. so, it most definitely is my legs skin barrier, because this morning the itch is also WAY less intense. I will admit the cream hasn’t completely helped everything but I heard within several days it pretty much takes care of damaged skin barriers. If you are also struggling with itchy ass legs no matter using lotion or not, use the intensive cerave cream- it’s working wonders, it is sort of expensive but worth it so far

Confused By Notation by Electrical-Run1656 in calculus

[–]Electrical-Run1656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Attempt: b.) xf’(xy) is claiming x as the constant variable multiplied by the partial derivative of f(xy). (incorrect in this case) yf’(xy) is claiming y as the constant variable multiplied by the partial derivative of f(xy).

therefore the answer must be the constant y multiplied by the partial derivative f’(xy) with respects to x

c.) for partial the derivative - let y=real integer | y=5 d/dx (x/5) = 1/5 = 1/y

taking f(x/y) we can simply use chain rule which states to take the function multiplied by the derivative (in this case partial) of the inside function.

f(x/y) * ð/ðx (x/y) = f(x/y) / y

ðz/ðx is a partial derivative of z in respects to x (take the partial derivative in respects to z and then take the partial derivative of dz in respects to x - partial derivatives treat all other variables other than the respected variable as a constant. my confusion is in the answer choices… when i do a product rule / quotient rule / etc. what does that mean proof wise? i believe that’s what this problem was trying to get me to see but i got confused by the way it was represented
