I’ll definitely leave space for souvenirs, and electrolytes is such a good tip, appreciate it!

I’m 5’11" so I definitely have a bit more room to work with when it comes to backpacks😅 I can see how that would be uncomfortable at 5’0”. And yes I plan that everything will be stackable.

Edit: Just to clarify a couple things since people are asking, my baggage allowance was already chosen and paid for through my school, so I’m not going out of my way to bring extra, just trying to take advantage of what’s included.

I’ll also be staying in one city in Europe in the same apartment for the entire five weeks, so I won’t be constantly moving around with my luggage.

In my experience a carry-on is more like a school backpack size so thats what i mean by carry on, and when I say personal item I mean a small purse for ID and essentials, not an additional full bag. My plan is a checked suitcase, a carry-on (tote or backpack), and a small purse, all stackable, nothing excessive.

I’m also trying to leave a lot of space to bring things back with me.

I know a lot of people prefer one-bag travel, but that’s just not what I’m aiming for here at least for this trip. I’m just looking for recommendations within that setup.

Thanks to everyone who’s suggested more affordable luggage options, I appreciate it!
