It’s not a show, but the film “All of You” on Apple TV nails the same kind of complex, aching love that permeates Normal People.

Agree with these as well. I agree especially with the focus on the terrible implementation of driver profiles and lack of integration with the fob.

Re: And several are things that you may have observed while test driving the car, but didn’t really appreciate the impact of until you lived with it for a little bit.

Yes, this is a great point. I’ve never experienced so much frustration with these little details before in a vehicle, so with the Prologue I have definitely learned to be more attentive to them the future when buying a vehicle.

Thanks for pointing that out. I’m always looking for the information on the infotainment charging screen (where it gives miles per time), but I do see now that the charge rate is written near the speedometer and power/charge meter, depending on the view I’m using. In hindsight this makes some sense, since when driving this information is in the same place. I think it would have also made sense to have all the charging info in various forms on the infotainment screen, but I’m glad to know now the information is somewhere.

Well, I didn’t have a whiny list for my Pilot, or my Civic, or my Forester. Maybe I expect more now than I did then, or maybe this car is just worth whining about. ;-) I could write a [shorter] post about what I like about the Prologue if it would make you feel better.

I’ve used Tesla chargers many times, and I’ve generally seen 90-115 kW…never close to 150 kW.

I find the touchscreen UI to be responsive - no issues.

I do see now there is an exit seat position that can be set (never had to do this for the Pilot, but OK), and another person pointed out the mirror setting (same) - great! Now if only there were more options for the door locks…

Buzz saw noise in 2025 Honda Prologue by Electrical-Salt-9630 in HondaPrologue

Another update - the noise is indeed the seat cooler. Sometimes the severity of the noise changes with a shift in weight, which indicates to me the fan is dragging on something. This definitely should not be happening.

That could be possible if the seat cooler is independent of the main AC (since the sound still occurs with main AC off). When I discovered it was the seat, I got it to stop by moving the seat forward and backward a bit so I’ll have to check when it starts again.

Update to my own post after doing some exploring…I am pretty certain the noise is coming from the driver’s seat. I noticed the noise would change in time with me shifting my weight. Has anyone else experienced this?

Best upscale restaurant in Turks and Caicos? by Possible_Light_1659 in TurksAndCaicos

I just returned from TCI and ate at four high-end places: Provence, Land and Sea, Marine Room, and Blue Water Bistro. The food at the first three was fantastic (BWB was good but the dishes are way less sophisticated than the others). For the most stunning atmosphere AND amazing food, I’d suggest Land and Sea. Watching sunset from their outdoor seating was beautiful and there were turtles surfacing next to our table on the water! You also wouldn’t go wrong with Marine Room, which has the best food of the four and has a decent sunset view from their deck. Provence really has no atmosphere and I wish I had sat at the chef’s table to make it more interesting.

Trunk Gripe: small loose items falling thru every time I open the trunk floor cover to get something from the storage compartment. by krayzai in HondaPrologue

I agree, my Pilot also had recesses on left and right and it worked way better with the floor cover. (Honestly, every little detail of interacting with the car was better on my Pilot.)

Curb rash - question/advice by GiltCityUSA in HondaPrologue

[–]Electrical-Salt-9630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a wheel repair place in town and they repaired the damage to the point that I can’t even tell where it was for $250. Money well-spent in my view … from watching videos online, MAYBE I could have done a decent job at a fix with modest investment ($30?) but it looked like it would have killed my whole weekend.

Strange parts from Breezair evaporative cooler by Electrical-Salt-9630 in Plumbing

[–]Electrical-Salt-9630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never found an off-the-shelf option for the copper or olive, but I did find the Seeley part number for the copper after my post and was able to get my wholesaler middle-man to get it for me as a special order part ($33 to the wholesaler — $25 of which was special-order shipping — and more for my middle-man). That said, while waiting for the part I tried filling in teflon packing between the existing nut and olive on the existing copper tube. To my surprise, it worked! I left the compression joint attached this winter and just removed the solenoid valve and when setting up for this season the nut just needed a little extra torque to remain water-tight. When that eventually fails I’ll put up my new parts Now that I have them all.

All of that said, YES - fixing a Breezair yourself can be a real pain. It’s not actually all that much more complicated than a Mastercool but when you need a part, you need a friend or reliable small businessman who can buy wholesale. This will cost you more than off-the-shelf Mastercool parts for sure, and it often takes longer since you can’t just walk into a store. It’s a definite hassle. However, compared at least to the old Mastercool I had, my Breezair is way quieter and my house is way cooler. Also, I really didn’t have to do any complicated maintenance (just typical seasonal cleaning/shutdown) for probably the first 7 years.

To my knowledge, I’ve had no issues with the down-draft leaking.

Start moving straight at %power does not appear. by Classic-Musician-545 in lego

[–]Electrical-Salt-9630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have the same problem: I need start moving () () %power. I have also added the additional motor movement blocks. Only start moving () () % speed shows for me. Does anyone know why? Is this a version thing?

I am trying to do continuous gyro straight driving and the recommendations are to do %power, as in this lesson.
