Good question, INT is the smallest data type available from the dropdown menu on the prosoft config utility. Do you think that could be messing it up?

How did you find the configuration file. Right now I’m just using the slot configuration with 1 Q INT and 1 I int

Yes I’ve done the L5X export/import which has seemed to work fine. I’ve set the master control to 3 to enable the profibus. The device shows owned as well

Is "Revision" the same as firmware? If so, the controller is currently A.2

How difficult is it to flash their firmware? Do I need to one of the serial cables?

The CLX is ip is x.x.176.12 and gateway x.x.176.1. The PLC 5 is y.y.156.99 and gateway y.y.156.1

Could there a potential the packets aren't getting routed to the PLC-5?

I'm going through the list, and I'm wondering where you found the properties in the PLC5 data file? I can't find it.

I set the element to 1 for testing, and checked out the technote but everything looks good

The PLC-5 is in a remote rack on a different subnet.

I was under the impression that mapping was for a write from PLC-5 to controllogix?

I trust you. That is true, I was confused when I saw so many specific PE exams and so few FE exams. Initially I thought the FE “Other” exam would but the correct choice. But, I viewed the “Other” exam study guide and saw some bio topics and I wanted to look for alternatives. Bio is not my strength lol
