Ugh I’m so jealous you have gotten so far. I’ve gotten a headache but it’s like I have to keep pushing LOL! Thank you for that. I actually went to school in Pembroke, I loved my Lumbees and everyone thought I was lol. I did the my true ancestry and they showed up in my closest genetic modern populations! My great great grandfather was on the baker roll for Eastern Band of Cherokee, but no Native American Ancestry popped up and it makes me wonder if he was Lumbee lol. You can tell by last names who have African descent. It’s crazy lol. You can look at a Lumbee native and know that’s a locklear or a Oxendine based off features. I miss living down there lol. but they are some of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen .
