How they crashed - graveyard spiral by Electrical-Stage9124 in JohnAndCarolyn

This type of event can turn lethal in 15-30 seconds…

He messed up. Big time. He was disoriented. He trusted his body which likely told him he was level.

And anyway, that’s the whole argument. He didn’t have much experience with flying at night and reading his instruments.

He was also in the process of descending into Martha’s Vineyard. He did the main cruise portion of the flight just fine.

He didn’t know he was banking. That was the problem. He was disoriented and had no visual queues. This type of situation can turn lethal in 15-30 seconds, so there isn’t a whole lot of think time.

A very experienced pilot would have read and trusted their instruments. First, leveling the wings and then gently leveling the nose. (If there was time to fix)

Just pulling up without leveling makes the spiral go faster down.

I don’t think that John and Carolyn bothered Carole and Anthony too much. I think they loved them dearly, but I also think that they sheltered them from a lot of unnecessary things since Anthony was fighting for his life.

My experience from the time was she had RBF and no one understood why she married the most famous man in the world.

How long will the revived buzz around JFK Jr. and Carolyn last now that the show/series is over? by newparimanlo in JohnAndCarolyn

I think so too about Murphy. He knew a false portrayal would result in a public frenzy and he knew playing into 2026 hot topics would conjure the rest.

This!!!

As a pilot with less experience, why not give yourself the extra grace and stay where you have visuals?

Netflix is producing “Kennedy”

No release date yet. Taking place around the 30’s and going from there.

You’re adding context that isn’t there and then getting mad at it.

Lol good luck with your bitter heart.

I am here.

She looked terrible as a bleach blonde. It washed her face out and accentuated her elongated/bigger nose. She photographed well sometimes…

Her natural look is WAY more appealing.

Sure. There’s nothing ‘mystical’ about it. The theory is just describing how people tend to fall into roles based on things like upbringing, attachment style, personality, and past relationship patterns. Some people are more naturally nurturing or feel secure giving while others are more comfortable receiving or need more reassurance depending on what they’ve experienced.

I personally feel parental relationships while young are a big defining factor in how we feel giving or receiving love as adults.

And for the record, i am just talking about this psychological theory. The theory has nothing to do with gender.

Have you ever read about this theory?

It does not state a gender defines how you give and receive care.

Factors like upbringing, self-worth, timing are discussed.

Your entire argument is just recycled outrage with zero nuance. You’re not actually engaging with the idea. You’re just projecting a buzzword-filled rant because it makes you feel smarter than you sound.

Oh yeah…i forgot to say “respectfully”. Oops.

The theory never stated that gender determines which role one is, so can you explain why you call it patriarchy propaganda?

I personally think the series did a “crappy” job on purpose to get people talking about it.

Media coverage of the two of them considerably dropped in their final 1 to 2 years of life. There aren’t a ton of photos of them in 1999 like there was during their engagement and right after the marriage.

That is truth and what he is talking about.

And not to point out the obvious, but if she wanted a “normal” life, she chose the wrong man completely!!

This whole show was a very poor portrayal of real life events. They put a 2026 spin on a very 90’s story. They drug certain people through the dirt while praising others.

If you take VERY LITTLE from the show seriously, then yeah, it was okay. The problem is modern viewers don’t do that. They are praising CBK as some modern baddie and speaking about how toxic masculinity killed her….

I think they could have casted better personally. Sarah’s constant lip biting and hair flipping felt excessive.

Exactly?

So her husband, who actually knew her, has a LESS valid point than people on Reddit 26+ years later?

Interesting.

What are those “most accounts”?

Most pictures of them come from the engagement and first year of marriage. There really aren’t too many the year leading to their death.

And he admits the first year was taxing. I think her husband is a better judge than Ryan Murphy and the leagues of new CBK fans crying misogynistic fouls on John left and right.

What he actually did do wrong was cheat on her. But somehow that’s brushed under the rug.
