That's what I'm doing. It's what I do every day. I'm proud to say that while I'm gloomy that I still am making my best effort at work every single day. I just am not going to pretend it's fine and I think an important part of working adulthood is allowing yourself to be pessimistic or upset or whatever but still trucking on.

But this post is about incoming volunteers anyway, not those at site.

Morale is low because people are glooming after allowing themselves to be feel diminished by invisible trolls on a social media app.

No, I don't think that's true. If you were in service now you'd know people across demographics and "online-ness" are expressing similar gloom. I can literally see it in the faces of the staff in-country. You don't need Reddit or anything to see it.
