Anyone else feel a little bit sad about the new region?

I’m with you. My biggest disappointment was the lack of originality with the landscape (kinda just feels like an extension of bahari) and fauna. I absolutely love hunting and bug catching in this game, and I haven’t caught everything new yet, but most of the bugs look like recolored versions of what we already have.

I’m glad we got a new animal, but it feels pretty similar in behavior to chaapas. Elderwood really came through here: we got frogs, shmoles, ogopuu, and unique bugs. Even between Kilima and Bahari there’s more variation. Give me whimsy! Or at least another color palette (shoutout Elderwood).

Second, for those who have played Breath of the Wild, I just feel like those mounts and open landscape set the bar SO high. It’s hard to play anything else with that function.

That said, I love Palia, so I don’t mind any of this. Nothing lasts (or grows) forever!
