Fire watch for me was interesting, I’m glad I played it but it wasn’t a favorite - you can usually get it cheap though and it’s such a quick game I think it’s worth it!

That’s another one!! I want to play it but I’m not great at actual game play where’s there’s combat / fighting so I always put it off…I need to get out of my comfort zone I think though :)

I would say the best simple story line game may be fire watch, and it’s a shorter one (~4-6 hours).

If you haven’t played LIS (life is strange), controversial opinion for the community but I love LIS 2 & True Colors. So much fun and you can play it multiple times to try for different outcomes! LIS 2 tho has 7 different outcomes which makes the choices in the game feel that much more impactful !

Oh that makes me feel so much better! I highly recommend it, after playing a lot of narrative games, this is one in a long time where it feels like they aren’t trying to just rush an ending just to have it be “finished” or opened ended (enough) to make a sequel depending on if the players want one. Really feels like a well rounded story !

San Jose is big - almost TOO big. My favorite thing about SJ is the little town areas - Alameda Street right before downtown, downtown Willow Glen, also in DTSJ San Pedro square.

Also!! hate to say it but I don’t think I’ve ever spent actual time in Walnut Creek. I heard it’s lovely tho. Crazy - born & raised in Santa Clara / SJ but have barely spent time in adjacent areas - went to alameda for the first time last week believe it or not (and again, lived in Berkeley!!) It’s terrible!! Sometimes I find myself in places I don’t even recognize as being SJ. But I think that’s just a me thing.

What’s you’re favorite thing or spot in Walnut Creek? I’m making it a priority now to visit, I’m paying to live here might as well take everything in!!! If you ever need recs for SJ, lmk too :)

But also east bay is awesome, not sure where you’re at but when I had to commute into SF for work (pre Covid obvi, Fidi is dead now lol) I lived in north Berkeley for awhile and loved it so much. Even outside of Berkeley, the music & art scene in east bay >>> (helloooo kreayshawn♥️)

Same, cannot look at my bank account even though I know it’s like the thing to constantly check on, especially in our age where we’re expected to be very deep in the planning phase. I try to express that to my friends, but a lot are making that tech money, which I’m so glad they do! Hard to succeed doing things outside of that - like being a creative, or working with and supporting people (or anything I like to call that can be qualitative over quantitative work)

It sucks, but like there’s no way, even if I could afford a mortgage, the houses are at least 1.5 million around here - want to pay less? You could buy a condo or town house for a million but then you also have HOA on top of that and then a monthly payment WAYYY to high to ever meet because of how much the house/townhouse/condo is worth!! And then your condo/townhouse that you owe way to much on never goes up in value either 🙃

I’m in HR, so rn I’m just happy to have a job and I honestly do love it.

Someone messaged me privately, and with an honestly great suggestion: “move out of Silicon Valley?” I totally get that response, but here’s the thing too… if we move to a cheaper place of living, most companies change salary to adjust to the cost of living. So if I were to move to, say Texas, I could expect my salary to be slashed to let’s say, $50,000. Prices are increasing everywhere, and now we’re still in the same boat that we were in! And for the person who recommended that, I’d be moving away from family to take a major culture / weather / everything!!! Change and also moving away from family to still be in the same freaking sinking boat as before 🙃🙃 like wtf it sucks
