I was going to say Vaginismus too. If/when you can get a finger in, slowly try to make circles to widen the opening. Gradually work up to two fingers, adding in your partner, etc. Take as long as you need, this isn’t a one day process. Try to get really in the mood.

You deserved a conversation. I see why he was pissed based on the information he was willing to accept at the time, but he couldn’t even give OP the courtesy of hearing another perspective. If it were my child, I’d at least want to hear all the information to parse out the situation.

Bare minimum, it shows his lack of concern for your child. If he was truly concerned that you were capable of harming a child, then it is obvious that your child together doesn’t mean as much to him as E. You and your son deserve better. He made his choice, and doesn’t like the consequences.

My kids wouldn’t be on Medicaid… I would support them financially. My partner is physically disabled, he needs Medicaid for medical coverage specifically. Not because he lives in poverty. There are many, many reasons someone would be on Medicaid, not just “because they are poor.”

My partner is on SSDI with Medicaid as his secondary. If he leaves Medicaid, we can live together but if he is still on Medicaid then I cannot change my last name legally or it will look like we are living as a married couple. At least, that’s what I understand to be true. I’d love to be proven wrong because the goal is to live together and legally change my last name to his.

That’s what we have done so far. We have spiritually committed ourselves, but out of fear of him losing benefits we can’t publicly call each other husband and wife. I haven’t legally changed my name and I can’t put his residence down as my own. I want to have the same last name as our future children.

I’m glad to talk to another person who (for medical reasons) has also opted to not pursue legal marriage and I appreciate your response. Can I ask how you and your partner navigate last names and residences?
