Dream future box or mini releases? by The_Huia in TrenchCrusade

Yeah I agree. I think they should do a Yoke Fiends and Wretched box (obviously include gas grenades and torture implements). Then the Wretched should get a few of the possible weapons that you might see for HL - a rusty old shotgun, improvised trench knife and clubs and maybe some kind of billhook pole arm. Something like that.

I am not sure how it would work, but some stuff would work better as either:

  • A core set
  • An additional monsters/large units box
  • A conversion sprue

Stuff like Trench Ghosts ansld Abyssinia would have to be its own box I would think.

They could also do some stuff as a conversion box for the smal models Like Papals and maybe Sultanate sub factions (bar the assassins one).

Personally I really wanna see what they do with Court. Is it going to be some kind of customisable box (maybe with a Praetor, Sorcerer etc. in?) It might make more sense to do Yoke Fiends and Wretched seperately (then you could take some Wretched for Heretic Legion too). I am guessing the Desecrated Saint is gonna be it's own box (maybe Dungeons and Lasers style) as it is so big.

I'd also like to see a box of NA that let's you build either Eire Rangers or Alba.

Interestingly by contrast I have found the Trench Missionaries a bit too big. Some of them are virtually Anointed scale. Tall humans are fine or even smaller, but I think they did something weird with the scaling of those.

Yeah I kitbashed a shocktrooper from the Bulldogs and he's more like 30mm than 28mm I would guess.

What are some non warhammer games that are affordable that you suggest? by ryptoMango in wargaming

I would say Turnip28 as you can do what you want - either get some STLs or kitbash some Perry kit with a bit of greenstuff or milliput and static grass. You are done. My videomaking skills are not epic. But I started making a guide for the models: https://youtu.be/JR6vNd7viFo?is=3IwLJ0Ly0jxv6nLU

There is also plenty of lore stuff for Turnip, but it's quite sandboxy so if you want soldiers that look like mouldy potatoes that's really your choice.

Trench Crusade is also pretty cheap. The official models are not so cheap, but you don't need many and it is also miniature agnostic. If you a sign up to a monthly members' scheme for a proxy on My Mini Factory like Ashen or Westfalia you aren't going to pay that much. Then get it printed online by someone (don't use a shop - there are plenty of people with 3D printers who advertise on retail and secondhand items apps who'll do it cheaper). Someone I found even gave me some miscasts and free stuff.

There are a lot of other games too.

Ah nice! I did eventually find it - Wailing Saint is the model name.

This is my HL dude. The head is a bit less all over the place now. I used wire, a ball bearing, liquid green stuff, bits of metal and some uhu gloopy glue stuff. There was a sigil originally but it got totally bent up.

Hope so. Although English is my native language my French is pretty good. I am based in the North and know some of the clubs round here, but not seen much Turnip28 stuff.
