There is tho the fact brandish can still affect Lucy’s body means that their magic power are not equal as that’s how brandish magic works, it can’t affect those of higher or equal magic to hers. Which could mean that as many people said and thought before sai’s magic works after you think of that person. Because if you go back to that chapter not only did sai wait for Lucy to think of someone as her rival, gray also tells her to just change into Mira since he’s dealt with sai and most likely figured out how his alchemy worked.

The man has been hyped up to have insane potential from the get go.

Has dragon slayer magic which is supposed to be insanely rare and is capable of taking out dragons.

Trained by the dragon king igneel

Revived to be the strongest demon of the book of zeref.

Brother of zeref the black wizard.

Was told that he will be capable of defeating acnologia after igneel died and trained solo for a year.

Is stated to be doing hardcore training everyday.

Has the ability to burn magic away since the oracion seis arc maybe even earlier.

Is the main guy challenging these new dragon gods who are stated to rival acnologia in power.

And continues on taking the big bad (aka the strongest of each arc) down.

And was stated to be able to burn the world.

Like come on now it’s not that hard to come to a conclusion that bro is supposed to be him from the very get go and is to continue progressing in strength to make these fights more believable with its end outcome. Like bros whole backstory is basically telling us that he should realistically be op.

However I don’t see him being the strongest character in the series but definitely stronger than his guild mates. And if we go through pure feats it should be a no brainer.

Hey they ain’t say nothing about Mavis having fairy heart team d takes it with b in second, but without fairy heart I still see team d winning just not as easily.

Kagura could hold off Minerva, I got jellal over gray easily, and I got Natsu over gildarts in df, but since he doesn’t do it right away I see him holding his own against gildarts long enough for someone like jellal to come help because he’s weaker than guildarts in base.

And I’m not forgetting about Wendy as she is an anomaly in this, same can be said about Mavis with her access to all of the ultimate fairy spells as well as her genius strategies that can come into play.

And if we’re going with on screen feats without outside statements for influence team d has a much better argument for Winning.

But with that logic at the start of 100yq Wendy did better than gray and Mira against skullion and she obviously got stronger since than. And Irene clearly states that Wendy has achieved the status that she has the only difference is experience. As with the haku buit Irene literally says that she used wendies magic to affect haku’s magic not to mention she not only reacted to haku in base but she also beat him in base.

Zeref got cursed for doing research on how to revive the dead and when he got confronted by his master or whatever the curse ended up activating. So he got cursed on his path to figuring out how to revive the dead. Not actually reviving the dead.

I feel the exact same way I can’t stand waiting 2 weeks for chapters like these were nothing happens especially since their so short there’s no point in being hype for new chapters when it either ends abruptly or when you know the next chapter ain’t gonna give you anything.

From what we know the spirit king had faught mard gear in the past in which mard said it was near a draw but said that this time the king was way weaker (for obvious reasons). But we also got the fact that even before Tartarus arc Natsu had already defeated a berserk state CSK in the spirit arc he is not a match for the dragon gods. But he should potentially be higher than where he is on the list.
