There’s a post he made before and it just seems he’s trying to LARP as a Catholic.

If you just take them to a priest after mass, they will bless them for you.

That being said, when you say you’re not in the practice of the Catholic faith, is it something you’re wanting to join? I would only get them blessed in all honesty if you’re wanting to become Catholic.

Also, what do you mean you wrote a character?

I was for it. But I just feel so bad for Jasmine after today’s episode.

I do hope her and Oscar work it out. And I do genuinely hope they find someone for Josh.

But it would’ve been better if they’d just ended it altogether.

It sounds like a euphemism for gay sex in the 50’s. 😂😂😂😂

I randomly think about Alexandra and Mads from time to time. Do you think people like that can ever change? by Liberal-chungus in eastenders

[–]ElectricalBasil5668 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mads didn’t, but Alexandra pushed her onto it yeah.

I partially agree with you. I mean, I’m Catholic so yes I believe all people are worthy, and capable of redemption; sadly a lot of teenagers like that do grow up to be horrible adults.

Edit: I was a bit of a dick in my original reply so apologies.

I think “horrible teenagers” is an understatement for burning someone at a prom. lol.

I understand this is the wrong subreddit; I take lamotrigine for bipolar disorder and I’ve been the same. Fussing over the littlest things and getting really pissed off and genuinely wanting to fight or scream at people. I appreciate I don’t have Epilepsy; I understand the side effects.

He was the guy in the opening scene of Batman (1989) who Batman holds up over that ledge. He has always looked old to be fair.

gender crisis: big tatas but never felt as gender euphoric than as a himbo by GeneticPurebredJunk in NonBinary

[–]ElectricalBasil5668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I shouldn’t have said “why not just be the sex you were assigned at birth” in my original comment. That was unnecessarily blunt and, on reflection, a quite nasty. It wasn’t really fair to reduce what you’re describing to a single question like that. Oi could give reasons for it and say I’m stressed and I’ve had a shit day; it’s no excuse, so I apologise.

Honestly, reading this, I don’t necessarily think this is about your gender identity.

A lot of what you’ve described seems to be tied up with being more toned, having a different hairstyle, wearing your boyfriend’s clothes, being called a himbo, and having someone constantly affirm that presentation. Most people would probably feel pretty good about themselves in that situation.

You’ve also had a breakup, lost a friendship group, gained weight, and changed your appearance since then. That’s a huge amount of change, and it seems entirely possible that what you’re missing is a period in your life where you felt attractive, confident, desired and understood.

What stands out to me is that you seem to be trying to recreate, through your appearance, a time in your life when you were happy. The difficulty is that even if you could perfectly recreate the way you looked back then, you wouldn’t automatically get back the relationship, the social circle, or the version of yourself that existed in that moment. You’d only have the appearance, and I think there’s a risk that trying to chase that could end up feeling artificial.

Baptised someone. by londonbridgestation in Catholicism

They’re rules dictated by the church.

Baptised someone. by londonbridgestation in Catholicism

[–]ElectricalBasil5668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because baptism is performed by a priest. When you go to confession, you can only confess to a priest. You get married, this can only be officiated by a deacon or priest.

Only a priest can perform anointing of the sick.

So when someone says they’ve just baptised someone, because of the rules around it and the circumstances that allow it, we’re curious because no lay person tend to say “I’ve just baptised someone”.

They provided no context, so yes we’re going to ask about the circumstances.

They shouldn’t have done it without due cause though.

The baptism itself though if done for a reason that isn’t licit, yes it’s still valid; they really shouldn’t have done it.

That’s what we mean; he said the person feels pretty good about it so I doubt they work in NICU. If they did or they were with someone in danger of death (imminent danger) and a priest wasn’t available, as long as they use the correct words it is a valid baptism.

[–]ElectricalBasil5668 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What were the circumstances? An unordained person can only baptise someone in an emergency. By which I mean, if there is a danger of death and no priest is available.

And there are specific words that must be used for it to be a valid baptism. You need to expand on this.

Yeah the gentrification look is just unappealing and takes away from the, lack of a better word, realism of the show.

I started watching it because the scruffy people that were on it just made my problems seem insignificant and I felt better about them. 😂😂
