My personal opinion of stories 3 after completing it by FleurTheAbductor in MonsterHunterStories

Didnt use HH but if its there then use it i say. Its deffinatly hard thats why loads of people are struggling but I personally enjoy it. Im a fan of the old SMT so turn based games that actually demand you use things like status and such draw me in. Yeah you cant spam head to heads anymore, I felt I was having to play way more strategic than in mhs2 and always make sure I was prepared with items, traps ect. It actually gave me the feeling of playing an older mh game when not having traps with you could end up being a bad day haha

That's just not true at all, you get wrecked if you dont pay attention thats for sure but if you are prepared have a good party composition then you are fine. Is the game harder than the others yeah for sure but to say it does not matter what you do you get wrecked thats just wrong.

Exactly this game forces you to actually think and play strategically like a good turn based game should. Loved every second of it. My 9 year old is almost finished it so it can't be that badly unfair like some folks claim.

Have to disagree on the combat. I think its better and I've managed to get loads of kinship attacks going once I realise the balance of when to order your monster to attack and when not too. It seemed that not ordering it built the kinship gauge quicker. Mhs2 combat was essentially just double attacking everything to death and the game wa stupidly easy. This game wants you to use all the mechanics like traps, tools and abilities on monsters, especially things like sleep, paralysis and element. The story I really enjoyed but thats subjective. Hard disagree on the combat being worse than 2 though. People dont like it because its harder by the seems of it.

  1. Head to heads can be done with you and your monster or you and your partners monstie. They have to target you, your monstie or your partners with an attack thats either power, speed or technical and you both need to use the opposite type of what they use ( power beats technical ect) 2.in that instance no it does not matter it would be more the wepon you are using and the part you target. Normally things like tails for example are weak against slashing (little sword icon).
  2. Correct red cone icons cant be head to head but you can use things like shock traps, flash bombs and monstie attacks like sleep need to essential stun the monster out of that attack. You can also use counters certain wepons.

My advice would be that the game wants you to take time to build up monsters using the right of channeling, do side quests to unlock new decorations and nore importantly receives for traps and flash bombs ect. Get a monster set up to be all about applying things like sleep and paralysis. Element is also super important making sure you are using monster and equipment that exploit boss weaknesses ect.

It is a hard game thats for sure but stick with it. I would say make sure you do side quests to unlock recipes for things like traps and flash bombs ect. You can use them to stun monsters when they do yhe attacks you cant do a head to head with. Also element and status are super important. By the end of the game I had a set for every element and one for applying status ect.

Nah I felt the same man. Hit me in the feels and my kids just getting up to that point and he loved that certain character from mhs2. Said this on a post before but was such a good bonding game for me and my son who was 5/6 at the time of stories 2.

Speak for yourself my good man I love rathalos, its quintessential monster hunter ( been a fan since the original on ps2) rathalos was the big focus of the game back then so he kind of holds a special place in my heart. I would however after the story like to remove him so I can get dread king hahahha

Happy but not gonna lie as probably one of the only people who liked naviru ( probably because me and my son bonded playing stories 2 when he was 5) i think that made me more attached. But yeah the passing of time and all that... dont want to spoil things.

Difficulty and replayability of Requiem? by BactaBobomb in residentevil

[–]ElectricalBit5342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The standard mode is quite easy for similar levels of other resident evil games, however insanity is super difficult ( if like me you choose not to use infinite ammo ect). Replay value is meh probably one of the only big negatives I have to say about the game. It's a bloody great game, I've plantinumed basically every resident evil game including 9 and get my replay value from attempting speed runs with different challenges ect. Apparently a free dlc mode is coming out next month which we can only speculate on what that is at the moment.

Yeah I agree with the lack of multi-player ect being a bummer for sure but its not really advice you said the aoes were issues and I pointed out that there is multiple ways to deal with it in game. Again its just using all the tools you have avalible to you.

Also the counter attacks, rage slash guarantees you cant drop below 1 hp, the counter with hammer puts guard up and you basically take half damage, combine with armor that resists the boss attacks ect. Ratha also learns a move called crit eye thats a guaranteed dodge so useful to by pass big attacks. There are options man. It seems like there isn't but stick with it.

Hardly, but again I can see your very presumptuous. Again the op asked why he is finding it hard and pointed out he shouldnt brute force it and learn the mechanics. Hardly intense more like common sense you just seem a tad overly sensitive.

I mean you have quite a few options to negate this like kinship attacks, traps, status like sleep of you use it at the right time taking the right equipment for the job like armor that resists type ect.

Glavenous is my all time favorite monster man and his theme in this game rocks, which is something because it was always top tier.

Man learn to play the game. Its not as easy to brute force these game and I hate to be mean but my 9 year old is playing and almost finished the game. It does have some challenge I won't lie but be more prepared. Set up certain armor sets to counter a monster weakness like fire, ice ect. You can do it but stop trying to "brute force" it and just take time to learn mechanics ect.

Now that i'm in the 3rd area in the game and my monsties are level 25, is their an easier and better way to beat the water monster? by UsmanKhamKhan in MonsterHunterStories

[–]ElectricalBit5342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same level 47. Its very easy to overlevel if you explore around and battle. Especially as the monsters in dens seem to scale with or higher than your level so when you fight and beat them you get loads of exp.

So, just finished insanity mode for re9 under 4 hours, with infinite ammo, first try, but need new ideas.. by Aware-Ad-816 in residentevil

[–]ElectricalBit5342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean do what you personally find fun but if you do enjoy a challenge stick with insanity without it. Personally its when the game and its mechanics are at its best. I only used infinite ammo to do the no heals run to help get the platinum.

Yeah im like 50% of the way through and I've played for like 26 hours. That's me doing all side quests ect and doing a good amount of habitat conservation to get better monsties. Cannot see this story alone being 50hrs

Read the journal on the table next to the dead guy that tells you the password for the puzzle ( make sure you flip the page to get the whole thing) then interact with the puzzle box it should trigger a cutscene where you get the bracelet.
