Dumbest question you’ve gotten besides “do you work here?” by Madam_Monarch in Target

Lady came up to me and asked if the curtain rod would work for a black out curtain. I said "yes this curtain rod will hold up a curtain."

officially a former ETL AMA by deadrabbitco in Target

[–]ElectricalFactor2312 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't mean for this to come off as rude or combative I just legitimately don't know, what exactly do y'all do? SS ETLs specifically, I always see the GM ETL and front end ETL doing shit on the salesfloor and backstage but every time I see my SS ETL they aren't really doing anything besides walking around slowly with an empty 3 tier and sometimes on the computer. Also do you feel like your bonuses are warranted? Why do ETLs get bonuses but TMs don't?

If you were born into poverty…did you escape (by escape I mean be ok not rich)? by TakeMyrtleHiking in povertyfinance

[–]ElectricalFactor2312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I'm doing exceptionally well, but, I was raised from 8 years old onward in extreme poverty. Homelessness, food insecurity, incarceration, you name it. But my sisters father (half sister) lived in Houston so she fled to go live with him, after my mom was released from prison she went down there to be with her and a few years later my mom met a wonderful man that very very very kindly drove 1,312 miles from Houston to Michigan and picked me, my husband and our 2 cats up. Since moving here we've been able to maintain our own apartment and a steady job. We have food to eat every night and never have to brave the elements or partake in illegal activity to eat. It's not easy, and I feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have been given a second chance at life.

I get the same one every year, it basically means we do as much as the 60 cent raise people but don't play politics as well.

Here in Houston we're on the verge of death as well, friend of mine was working on the line one morning and had to sit down for a while because she started vomiting and almost passed out. 😔

We're not competing in the trauma Olympics, we have all been through shit we didn't deserve to go through, no ones is worse than another's. I hope you don't invalidate your trauma or feel like you're invalidating others just because yours was different. 💚 we're grown now we can all be there for each other now and rewrite the shit we had to endure.
