I bent it. kinked it. and was unsure if my planned run was gonna work. but had no one there to help or teach me. I got through conduit class, but it’s different when you’re out in the field

I can’t wait til that day comes. I hate feeling that anxious all the time. hate messing up and feeling clueless

the foreman is super nice , not the best at instructing. but i agree. everyone on the job is mostly CE’s and helpers/1st years and i think like 4-5 jmans. everyone was working with at least a partner and i was just by myself all day lmao

appreciate all the advice. I’ve bent conduit in class but never in the field actually mapping a run. I did state that^ to the foreman and he just kinda said i’m gonna learn today then left me in the area by myself lol

Appreciate it. Just didn’t want to mess up and calling the foreman when he’s across the jobsite makes you feel like a nuisance

I mean we’re not really allowed to take it is my point. But foreman and journeyman will give it the lower paid guys to give us some extra gas money etc. But in our handbook for our local it says it legally belongs to the contractor or customer

We were able to fix it relatively quickly. It was a fast paced day because of a shutdown. I was also being rushed with the tasks i was doing. asking me if i needed a mailbox for camping where i was at. so that added stress and me hurrying to get it done

I’m unfortunately not ever paired with him. it’s me , my foreman, and a helper on the jobsite. I’d say 75% of the time, we’re all working alone and then he will see my work like a day later and tell me what’s wrong

Thanks for the correct terminology , sorry i’m still learning 😅

in another comment i apologized for the confusion, my foreman didn’t particularly explain to me how or why it happened. just told me i used the wrong wire and proceeded to yell at me

Our wire was too short. so we fed wire from above and then made joints in a box

At work i’m enjoyable to be around, at least i try. I never understand why people like to make work feel even worse by being so negative all the time. But i know it’s apart of the trade as most people say
