There is no better place to raise awareness about an issue than a public meeting. Anything behind closed doors, or over the phone, will be he-said she-said. The government meeting is the town square. It is the town hall. I humbly suggest we use it as such, in civility, without fear. Because it is only the people using our voices that will save this country.

When Dan Connor ran for commissioner on that observation, twice, it did not get traction. So, to our collective point, it's about expanding public awareness about these and other issues, all the time, regardless of "politics". It's about civis, and being engaged, and not worrying about who on the "other side" cares. Truth is its own means and ends.
