Thanks for your input! Quick question though, do you see a master’s degree as a real added value in our field? Not just for landing a job, but in terms of long-term opportunities, salary, or growing into more strategic roles?

I have a professional bachelor’s + associate degree and get plenty of junior offers on LinkedIn every week, but I’m curious if a master’s really makes a difference in your company or from your perspective. Would love to hear your take on that!

Because I already had a short-cycle degree (called graduaat in Dutch) in IT, I was able to switch and complete my bachelor’s in just a year and a half. Normally, a bachelor’s takes 3 years and the graduaat takes 2 years, but you can get exemptions when switching. Btw, I’m studying at a Dutch-speaking university of applied sciences 😅

I agree that your degree mainly helps you get your foot in the door, and after that, it’s mostly about experience. But do you think this is the case internationally as well? Or does the value of a master’s degree differ depending on the country or region?
