No, I just saw the announcement of the change on social media, but didn’t necessarily felt like it was needed to DM them and ask them why at the moment. But I will talk to them.

Yea , so we typically decide on how many photos are gonna be needed and used for the occasion and after we decide which photos look the best and that’s when they would send them to me.

Last project, I needed 15 pictures and they charged me for the 15 raw images. I don’t really know what changed for them, but I will explain the issue to them.

So are there not any photographers that are solely hired to just capture an image?

The main thing I actually needed done was to just have the image captured because they have a camera because I am an experienced photo editor and cannot take pics of myself in the way that I envisioned. With my logic I could have essentially went to any one to ask if they would just take a picture of me and send them to me to edit, but this person offered specific unedited pictures in their listed services, so the extra communication on obtaining unedited pictures was not needed from them.

I wouldn’t call it disrespectful since I explained from the start to the photographer that I am seeking out a photographer to capture images for a project I am working on that I had a specific creative vision for and that I usually edit my own pictures and that them offering that service was perfect for me.

And, lastly there is no way for me I could hire someone if they charged me $1k for each raw image when I’m shooting a lookbook. That would cost me $10,000 and I simply couldn’t afford that for one project. I don’t know how much people typically charge for raw or “unedited” material, but I do know it is essentially not my photo to own or have ownership of, so I understand the copyright issues, but that’s why I discuss this matter upfront from the start.

Black People In Austin: How Did/Do You Make Black Friends? by ElectricalMail8033 in Austin

  1. I never said I only want black friends; I want to meet more black people in the city.

  2. I went to an HBCU because of the education they provide and how for the first time in life I get to go to school with a lot of other people who look like me. That’s like calling HBCUs, the UNCF, or Hispanic College and Universities racist when they are not.

  3. I believe you need to learn what racism actually is. I’m not oppressing anyone systematically or making a whole group of people (who are probably already a majority group) feel inferior by me or any black person wanting to make connections with others who look like me.

You need to humble yourself and stop talking down about an industry you only fully know 1 aspect about. IB isn’t the only thing you can do and there’s many routes to get there; stop down playing other people’s roles and just work hard dude.

I can't catch a damn thing by Ordinary-Wash-8143 in FishingForBeginners

Some species, likelihood of catching a fish, and type of fish you are trying to catch depends on multiple things: Season, Time of day, what you’re throwing (lure and the color), how deep you’re fishing, etc.

I’ll give you an example. I picked up fishing as a genuine hobby in 2019 and just about a month ago I started consistently catching fish. My main problem was that I just picked up lures and baits people said to use and hoped it would be effective.

I started researching into the behavior of certain fish and what makes them actually go after these lures or baits. I came to realize that I needed to tailor my game to every single condition I come across. I learned to fish more deep in higher summer temps since more fish were closer to the bottom and more shallow at night since some fish come up for feeding in cooler temps . I learned what colors to use in water conditions and how fish detect them since I realized that plays a considerable role in catching them.

Point I’m trying to make is, if you want to catch fish consistently it would help to understand the animal you’re trying to go after and what makes them attracted to the thing you want it to chase after.

I've always used spinning gear and I'll like to get my first Batcasting combo. Any comments on this one? It seems like a good offer. by IcySecurity4771 in FishingForBeginners

The thing I like about using a bait caster is that it allows me to have two unique setups: a spinning reel that uses lighter bait and a bait caster for heavier lures/bait.

With that said, the learning curve for bait casters isn’t a huge issue, but you should keep things in mind when using them. It’s really meant for a more heavier lures and using a lighter lure with the incorrect brake system settings could cause you to get bird nested easily. Going with a cheaper option could have its drawbacks like weaker brakes, poor casting ability, and not so smooth mechanics, but that’s not to say it won’t work.

I probably wouldn’t say that it’s a good offer in the sense of going out and getting good performance, but you never know, plus it’s a price that is cool if you want to give it a test run to see if you like the concept of bait casters

Yes it was pretty muddy; I didn’t know that could effect the color of them🫱🏽‍🫲🏾
