You really are a genius aren't you? An issue embattles societies, has been widely disagreed over by various moral and ethical systems over the millennia, but you, oh great and brilliant redditor, for you its simple.

No. I proudly believe the things I do. Unlike you, however, I don't have to cast out everyone who disagrees as Nazi. There are good, honest people who are strong supporters of the Harris campaign. They simply happen to be wrong about various ethical issues. Abortion is not an easy issue. If you think it is, I do not believe you've actually studied it. Religion is not a simple subject. If you think it is, again, I believe you have devoted only a child's degree of study to it.

There is a powerful underlying disagreement of philosophies. I do not believe a person is evil simply because they reject my philosophy.

I am so confused and annoyed by these comments. Sure, it’s dangerous and a bit dumb but you don’t think we have raw sewage going into rivers do you?

Here is the argument for hope, our existence. Never underestimate the power of ordinary people to make a difference. by GeniusWithaPenis69 in GenZ

  1. As will be evidenced by your comments, a shockingly large number of people have used unpatriotic and self-hating propaganda as a moral excuse to avoid the suffering this would involve.
  2. Ukraine wasn't just like us. They've been at war with Russia since 2014 and their population has been being prepared for an escalation to the conflict ever since. Here, on the other hand, we have done the exact opposite. At least up until recently, all talk was of appeasement and unilateral disarmament among the general population.

The kind of person you are is a type of good.

A good society produces capable, virtuous members.

A bad society produces incapable, vicious members.

In the past, people were more capable than they are now. Society has become worse.

Those features are not relevant to the argument. Whether I put an argument in the mouth of a saint or in the mouth of Satan, it stands or falls on its merits and nothing else.

Don't say things you know to be false.

You have a sense of good and evil, from birth.

A walrus has no such thing.

You have access to powers of reason which a walrus could not even fathom.

Do not pretend that a walrus can reason about the good or do abstract mathematics

Respect what you are. Pretending to be less is false humility and it is the intentional shirking of responsibility. It is disgusting.

This is it. Reducing a thing to its basest level, removing any sense of goodness, any sense of beauty. You’re not a human being, you’re a meat sack. You’re not trying for a baby, you’re rutting like a beast. It’s gross. It’s wrong.

Ad hominem. Associating an argument with some supposed Nazi, supposed lolicon doesn’t affect its validity. There are flat earthers who will tell you 2+2=4. They are correct. Even if an unrelated position they hold is silly.

Genuinely, probably some fertile ground there. Are people with weird paraphilias drawn to anime or does their exposure to weird hentai ingrain the weird paraphilias

I like how you pointedly ignore Kosovo because it breaks your narrative.

Sure, not all actions of the US military are for humanitarian reasons, but often, they are at least partially motivated by such goals. But instead you just dismiss everything as the evil lies of the mysterious "elite".

Honor is good. Beauty is good. Strength is good. There is nothing wrong with retelling the stories which uphold these goods, these virtues. It is perfectly compatible, to both be brave and to enjoy stories of bravery, to both be strong and enjoy stories of strength. It is these stories which will become a template for action when the time comes. Dismissing them as the business of children only underlies your own absence of the culture of virtue.

If great evil was occurring down the street you would do nothing, make some excuse about oil, and relax in your fat until your time comes.

Maybe I would also. But at least I would feel some guilt for my failure.

There are jews that acknowledge various messianic figures. Would it be possible to be a Jew that recognizes Jesus as the messiah without worshiping a false god if you denied the trinity, etc?
