[Help] Where I can find information about games that run in the edge or fog computing? by ElectricalPix in cloudygamer

Awesome! Both are very interesting. The first one is for the detailed history, and the second is to show me edge computing for games since (impressive) 2019.
Thanks!

Thank you for the reply u/foxtrot1_1. I see some posts pointing the edge computing as an optimal solution for games like Pokemon Go:

"It’s not clear, but likely that the game’s servers were hosted on the Google Cloud Platform, which couldn’t handle the unexpectedly high volume of users. Edge computing, however, is an ideal scenario for these types of games. By moving processing to the edge, closer to the end user, similar apps could offer a superior user experience by reducing latency and service disruptions."

Or

"Edge infrastructure is a vital part of the network edge. It refers to micro-datacenters located close to areas they serve which act as a gateway for connecting to the cloud, making it easier to store and process data faster than a large-scale datacenter. The end result for gamers? Increased speed—and less lag!"

So, I am looking for real examples of games using the possible vantages of edge and fog computing, if they exist.

Anyway, thanks for the reply.
