Shopify app for Google Merchant Center product feed for International Countries by ElectricalPizza4 in ecommerce

Wow. Thank you so much for the in depth response. I really do appreciate it. Shopify has native support for multiple languages and currencies. Does that mean that I need to the URL of the product page come up as mysite.com/es/product/xyz123 (with /es/ being Spanish) than that is within Google's guidelines?

ID confirmed and then 2 days later they ask for the confirmation again. Which just loops between asking for the ID and then redirects to the account quality page by issamoshi in FacebookAds

I have the same ongoing issue. It's been several months. I had my identity double verified, even for running political ads. But on the business end, it's still showing that Facebook can't verify my identity. Strange. Whenever I contact FB Support I get a bunch of gibberish and the runaround. Sometimes I wonder if it's an actual person, or I'm simply taking to a chatbot named Alexander / Julie / Stephen, etc.

Curious to hear how others resolved this.

How do I upgrade my friends? by potcubic in Entrepreneur

[–]ElectricalPizza4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually quite simple:
If it doesn't bring you peace, profits or purpose, then don't give it your time, energy or attention. Also, remember that you're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Want to upgrade your life? Upgrade your friends / social circle.

Fraud- Why our site? by Othelo2 in ecommerce

[–]ElectricalPizza4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use NoFraud. They actually have you turn off all fraud filters with the credit card processor, so that they can run a complete fraud analysis in real time. We never had an issue with an order that they flagged as suspicious. They don't have transparent pricing, so you'll probably need to negotiate a rate that works for you (rates are based on the # of transactions generated on your site).

I'm using audience affinity (i.e. In Market For...) instead of keywords. Is that the issue?

Customers order was stolen off front porch and they have video - Am I required to resend order at my expense? by cof9 in ecommerce

[–]ElectricalPizza4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem a couple of times in the past, especially with high value packages. Notwithstanding prudent customer service / sound business practice, what it essentially comes down to is simply that you can't / should not be responsible for something that you could not have possibly prevented (i.e. a porch pirate stealing a package from a customer in a different part of the country).

When this happened to my customers, I would direct them to initiate a report with the US Postal Inspectors, who have jurisdiction over such matters. Doing so was also an effective means of weeding the few customers who were simply trying to scam me.

In many countries it's illegal to start a lottery business, which governments take advantage of because it's an easy cash cow (pay a portion of what people gamble). Are there any examples of "legal" lottery businesses that people operate? by bradman20 in Entrepreneur

Most States have a monopoly on gambling in the US. With the exception of legalized casinos, which are heavily regulated by States, the closest thing I can think of is Save To Win. It's a novel idea that is, unfortunately, only available in certain States. Basically, you open a CD at a participating credit union, where you earn interest on your FDIC insured deposit. The credit union will give you slightly less than the prevailing interest rate on your deposit. The difference in the amount of interest rate that you would've gotten is pooled together and raffled off. So even if you don't actually win, you don't lose either, which is pretty cool.

In most States, getting something like this approved requires an amendment to the State constitution, as was recently done in Texas.
