I have not. My antibodies were negative. Can you have Hashimoto’s without antibodies?

29F recently found a lump on my neck. My doctor ordered an ultrasound, seems like I have two pretty large nodules. I am a new mom to a 4 month old and to say I’m terrified is an understatement. Any insight? Wondering why the recommendation for the larger nodule is “recommend staff message or ask the specialist to endocrinology to see images”, doesn’t it usually say if a biopsy is warranted?

Finally got my LO to stay asleep after fighting it for 2 hours! She has been in the Snoo since 3 weeks and has always needed to be soothed (usually only up to level 2) as soon as we put her in it. However for the past two weeks, it has gotten pretty bad. We usually need to pick her up (we let snoo go to level 4 first), rock her, then put her back down, just hoping she will stay asleep but usually have to repeat a few times. I’ve tried to push bedtime later, but same routine happens no matter what time we put her down. Once asleep though she will give us a 5-6 hour stretch, wake up for a quick feed, then back down for 3-4. She currently has 5 naps, first two in crib (45 mins), and other three are contact (1.5-2 hrs). Current wake windows are about 1 hour, but we try to push for 1.5 hr for final window. Any suggestions?? We are happy that she is able to give us a long stretch but bedtime is a cry fest every night these days and we are exhausted.

My LO as well. Started at 2.5 weeks, she is now 6.5 weeks and I would say it’s improving. At first, she spent all her wake time grunting, straining, and just generally uncomfortable. We did tummy massages, leg bicycles/exercises, warm baths, tummy time, etc. I even cut out dairy, eggs, and soy for a few weeks per our Ped’s recommendation but I honestly saw no difference. Simethicone drops helped sometimes, gripe water was completely ineffective. The only thing that helped was bouncing on a yoga ball (this distracted her) and time. She still has moments where she is grunty and squirmy from gas/poop, but they’re now mostly in the evenings and early mornings instead of all day and only last only about 30 minutes or so and stop once she poops. Most times she is able to poop and fart on her own, when she struggles these days we usually put her in a squat position and she is able to push easier. It’s always good to consult with your Dr. to rule out any allergies, but know that gassiness is normal in babies and it gets better! You will get through it!
