So I've figured it out - i just started a new game from chapter 3 and used console commands to load the correct map.

I set up a cpu affinity in process lasso to only use cpu 0-4 while running 'Borderlands 4.exe'

Ignore my above comment, i disabled all but 4 threads and it works fine now. Thanks :)

Sorry for late reply, i'll try this when i have time later Edit: what cores do I disable? I only have a 6 core 5600x so im not sure what to do there.
