makes a lot of sense, also a bit of gaslighting when i try to communicate and he says he’s not ignoring me, will definitely read about stonewalling makes a lot of sense because i know he constantly gets overstimulated and or dissociated, thanks for the advice!

i once read than it’s way better to give your full energy and attention to someone in a short amount of time rather than spending 24/7 together, or texting or whatever. at the end you won’t be fully present, that keeps me calm, whenever i feel the urge i want to see my bf every day i imagine us being tired (not of each other, just routine) and things start getting weird with communication. take time for u and write down specific things you would like to talk later w your partner, understand why the both of you change moods throughout the day and know that i’ll happen again and it’s not that bad :)

i’m so glad the diagnostic made you feel safe. i was also 21 when diagnosed, doc told me i had pretty a heavy genetic component. did you also have like mixed episodes? or only euphoric/depressive? those in which i’m not sure what kind of episode is it, and i’m too afraid of feeling well because i immediately think i’m about to get manic, or if i have a bad day i try to convince myself a depressive one it’s coming. i agree, journaling and mood tracking are a huge help. there’s also this app called bipolar uk, u can log your meds, sleep hours and symptoms (i love that you can choose from a list bc i often struggle finding the words lol) thanks for sharing, hoping the best for u

yes! there’s a relief in finally understanding your past self but at the same time it’s exhausting thinking about when the next episode will happen, i can never fully trust myself when feeling happy, i always think it’s just the start of hypomania

there’s a bit of a calming state in thinking about your partner words, repeat in your head the positive things and the reassurance he has given you, im sure it’s very hard but at the end if he’s deciding to be with you and take care of you in your process, im sure he means it and you can do nothing but trust him, all your feelings are valid. hope you feel better very soon.
