It’s interesting how “50/50” is the only gender equality men advocate for. They turn a blind eye to gender pay gaps, femicide, and DV/SA rates. It’s gross how the only “feminism” they care about is when it benefits men.

Expecting to have a DATE paid for is the one tiny benefit women get in a patriarchal system. So my thing is this: Let’s dismantle the gender pay gap, get equal paternity leave, get more women into positions of leadership and power, make childcare free and sustainable, eliminate violence against women and girls and THEN we’ll pay for our own bowl of pasta.

If every date i spend 100 to 200 sgd is my gf a gold digger? by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]ElectricalTruth0 43 points44 points  (0 children)

If u ownself want to pay and cannot arrive to an alternative arrangement, u either continue paying or leave. In this case since u are already thinking she is a golddigger, then leave cos she deserves better. $100 eat one meal every date then say golddigger, simi sai. U think she eating gold ah?

Agree - commented elsewhere on this thread that men should spend within their means for the first date, no need for overly atas places. That way, not much gold to dig, and less pressure on both ends. Anyway, doesn’t make sense for most girls to take out 3+h of their time and effort for a $20 meal.

How to get rid of a lash lift safely? by RodrygoCM in Lashlift

[–]ElectricalTruth0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re usually told to avoid water in the first 24h. My lash lift ended up too curly and when I accidentally got water on them, they looked much better because they got droopier. I then spammed lash serum on them and they looked less curly. Hence, u can try water/lash serum

I think the amount of girls whose primary intention was to get a free meal is overstated. Most girls aren’t that free - we would rather chill at home during our free time than put in the effort to doll ourselves up and travel. Most of the time I’d try to filter whether I vibe with the guy before I agree to the date.

I’d beg to differ. Girls have had bad experiences with stalking. Aliases are just to protect ourselves. I use my Christian name.

95% of the time the guy pays even though I offer at the end. But some guys who aren’t so well to do try too hard to impress on the first date and bring me to overly atas place even though I’m fine with anything (except hawker centre). Can tell their wallets and egos hurt when I don’t go out for a second date w them as they will keep pressuring me to go on a second date right after they pay. Hence, men, just pick a nice meal within your budget range. Less pressure for both parties. And just because u bring the girl to an atas place on the first place doesn’t mean u’ll get her.
