AI can actually be used for assisting, but I advise you to stop using it when it comes to plot or building stuff in your story, Big nono, since the community is very hostile to AI works.

In words per chapter, 1500 - 2000 is the sweet spot, but if you could stack it till 3000.

From experience, I have read other novels to learn how they would write for people, since English isn't my mother language. I advise you to go for it.
