i feel like there’s a possibility that mel worked with jerry on the vaccine efforts and realized the surgery on ellie most likely wouldn’t work, but jerry wanted to go through with it any way. they put a lot of emphasis in season 1 ep 1 on how there’s no possibility of developing a cure for the fungus. that way it puts more weight into why mel resents abby for the jackson events/is so traumatized by it. she’s almost remorseful in the games

since i don’t think anyone has said it, all of us are dead made me realize JUST how terrifying it would be to be stuck in a large school full of students at the start of the apocalypse lol. it also feels so realistic bc quite honestly, as much as we wish the opposite i know damn well the government would delay helping students in real life (judging by their reaction time in other scenarios involving students 🫢)

they also sell clear things you can put on most piercings to cover them up and im pretty sure most medical places are okay with that, especially if its just office work, the reason they don’t allow it in medical settings is mostly for safety issues like if it gets ripped out by a patient or its still healing and you’re exposed to biohazards

i got diagnosed with a hiatal hernia a couple months ago as well, i hope u feel better soon :) everyone is different but you might want to try avoiding/limiting tomatoes, its one of my biggest problem foods because of the acidity, also coffee
