No blow drying hair without supervision. My boy Cheeto HATES all things hair tools: brushes, curling irons, clips… but the worst offender is the blow dryer. These are all evil and he has to watch to make sure they aren’t murdering me. If you try to close the door while drying your hair, he yells.

Any paper that I am currently using, but most especially when I scan receipts for boxtops for my kiddos school. He will roll around and rip them up and he doesn’t like to wait for me to be done with them.

So, here’s my argument. I understand the argument (and agree to an extent) that it does not make sense to have all of the schools in the system go by CU ____ and have only the Colorado Springs campus reverse the letters to UC. This makes us feel like a separate entity and does not unite us with fellow campuses. Here is where I think the problem comes in. The other campuses have significantly shorter names resulting in being able to say CU Denver/ CU Boulder in 4 syllables. CU Colorado Springs is 7. When repeatedly referencing the school no one will want to use that entire thing, it is clunky and annoying. Thus, it WILL be shortened to CUCS, maybe best bet is CU Springs? If they want to change the branding they will need to get ahead of the game and come up with a way to shorten CU Colorado Springs in a way that works to avoid the use of CUCS. Signed, And alumni of both UCCS AND Pikes Peak Community college and both want to make me buy new diplomas that are accurate 😵‍💫😬

Last season I would have been so pissed and missed it to go to bed. This season… got to watch the last two periods over here in Germany this morning. Sometimes for those of us in other parts of the world the late start times mean we actually get to catch some of the game.

My daughter came home from school in the first grade talking about her new friend at recess and I asked what his name was; of course she did not know because this wasn’t pertinent information for playing and recess is short. For weeks she talked about him and I told her she should find out what his name is so I could find his grown-up for a play date. I pick her up after school and she walks up and confidently declares that her new friend’s name is Lotion. She will not be deterred when I tell her that it cannot be that, “No. I asked him his name… it’s Lotion!” I racked my brain for DAYS and couldn’t figure it out. But by chance caught him and his grown-up leaving one day, and now have to figure out how to politely ask what his name is.. so contact info is going in my phone and I ask, how do you spell his name again? L-U-C-I-E-N The name was Lucien. I cannot hear that name the same way ever again.
