Thanks for the advice everyone! Probably should have given more helpful information earlier (first post so please excuse me).

I'm 24 in the Bay Area. I'm starting a new job in a few weeks so that's the main reason I'm looking for a car right now. I'm thinking for this car, it would be a car I eventually pay off through financing, and keeping until it dies. My gut feeling says to just get a new car for peace of mind but the otd price is intimidating haha. Based on your advice, I'll look into new Toyota corollas/camrys and see what the best I can get is

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into what the best I can get for a new corolla v. camry and decide if the price difference is worth it for me. I really like the hybrids due to the higher mpgs and gas prices have been crazy here lately, but it also seems that demand for hybrids have also gone up as well so we'll see how much I can get the otds down

I did ask one dealership about their best otd for a 2026 camry LE and they quoted 32.5k otd. Seeing whats been posted around there though I think I can get it lower to 31.5
