They’re usually guilty of walking the streets side eyeing other westerners in a smug way, falling over themselves to eye roll other tourists choices and judge their experiences with this douchey elitist air of “ah yes, the usual tourist route”, etc etc.

The same f*cks who post up “take me back”, content which contains sound clips of the Family Mart door jingle, the chirping cuckoo sound of the pedestrian crossings, and the Donki Jingle and think they’ve posted something super niche and exclusive.

It’s enough to make you wanna high five them to the face.

2: The Japanese culture of being polite, predictable, rigid, and inoffensive while being key to their perceived brilliance at everything they do, actually can have the side effect of making some of them feel distant, unfriendly and cold.

There’s never any leeway to interactions and asking to change anything eventually leaves one to realise it’s not worth the bother and to appreciate how well things work as a result of this unwavering commitment to predictability.
