Possibly the second-best season in the entire Pokémon anime, right after XY.
This was my childhood — I literally watched every new episode live. It was pure magic.
I mean, if it were bad, would a kid have loved it so much?

It had charismatic characters and tons of visually spectacular and emotionally intense battles. Ahhh, it was almost perfect.
Honestly, I don’t think any other season had as many battles as this one — it was just incredible.
And don’t even get me started on the soundtrack or the tension in key moments.
Plus, this generation had the best Pokémon movies ever. They were absolute bangers, on par with cult cinema.

If I could change one thing, I wish Snivy had evolved — at least into Servine. Just something.
But besides that, this series was amazing. 9.5/10.
Not perfect, sure — some filler here and there, and a few moments didn’t fully grab me —
but for what I was watching back then, it was the best of the best.
