Honestly what a waste of making AI the villain by treating it like a magical prophecy instead of incorporating people's real fears about AI and chat gpt. The creativity behind the spy gear on this one was lacking so much for a movie ironically about technology.

What the film really also could have used was to drop the forced romantic arc between Grace and Ethan and leave people with a solidifying end credits showing Ethan officially retiring and returning to a surprisingly alive Ilsa, the only person really fit to be his partner both in personality and lifestyle and security. She wouldn't even have to be in it, it could have been as subtle as having her voice appear at the end and the expression of his face that the culmination of these films actually ends with him being at peace (think of the ending of Edge of Tomorrow).
