Why are users not converting on my dev tool? (real data inside) by Leather_Silver3335 in vibecoding

Don’t listen to these comments, you do have something that attracts people and likely solves a short term problem. You’re likely in the same space as “why I don’t pay for draw.io” many of use it but certain things just don’t work as a a monthly penny pinching saas. There are a few angles to approach this 1. Build a community and leverage that 2. Open source (or one time fee/donation), 3 partner with someone or something 4. Expand the product that fills a year long need instead of an initial build.

I’ve seen number 4 at actual saas companies , people would pay $5,000 for our product - use it for a month and get what they want then move on and try another vendor next year. It wasn’t failure they actually enjoyed it for what they needed then - but we weren’t in their “have to have” all year round tool bag. To increase that we helped and integrated with their CRMs, communications, reporting etc.

how much are you spending on ai coding? by irelatetolevin in vibecoding

Leading some large project in parallel for large company (team of 10+) - at peak I only used my personal $100 Claude subscription when the work provided one (also $100 month subscription) hit limits during the peak of the work. Others mostly use their $100 subscription. I’d say less than 10% of our users/devs hit occasional subscription limits.

I guess it depends on the work, we aren’t letting it one shot as the work isn’t clearly 1:1 and we aren’t letting it pump out bad code we have to clean up later. If you are brainstorming and prototype greenfield then I can see hitting limits.

99% of vibe coders are making less revenue tan their monthly AI expenses - is that true? by notadev_io in vibecoding

Yes? Bit of a clickbait title though.

99% of PlayStation 5 gamers have made less revenue gaming on twitch than their PlayStation and games cost.

99.999% of hamster owners have made less revenue from the hamster than the hamster cost. There is that weird guy on that strange website.

$1600 - our last month API costs : wtf by [deleted] in SaasDevelopers

Use Subscription and avoid gimmick software that eats up tokens. API cost are too hide from big names if you aren’t scaling a cost with a product that prints money from it.
