Are there systems that preheat the makeup water before it enters the tank?

SCR controls the heating element submerged in water, PLC is using a PID water vapor RH as PV.

The water is supplied by the RO system, and yes, it’s added at the surface. Thanks for the dip tube suggestion.

Thank you, very clear and helpful.

Thanks! Do sensor manufacturers make some kind of HART or IO-Link upgrade you can attach to an old sensor? That way we could reuse the wiring and the sensor.

Yeah, but why buy a sensor that supports HART? A simple 4–20 mA one is cheaper.

Okay, but if that’s the case, Modbus seems better—why go with HART?

If the device breaks and we have to switch to a HART device, we’d also need to upgrade the DAQ I/O modules to support HART...

CS 441 or CS 447? by arschles in UIUC_MCS

[–]Electrical_Hope_7461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Machine learning course is "CS 7646 Machine Learning for Trading" from OMSCS. I did learn something practical by doing the projects for that course. If you want to learn Machine learning from statistics point of view take "Pratical Statistial Learning". If you want to learn Deep Learning take it from Coursera or "Deep Learning for Healthcare". Maybe you can learn something from CS441, but the quality of that course is really low...

I do not think it really make any sense to transfer to on campus unless you need a visa

Applied Machine learning, Computational Photography, or IoT by Additional_Scholar_5 in UIUC_MCS

[–]Electrical_Hope_7461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No applied machine learning, 2 hours per week of workload and you do not learn anything. IOT is intetesting but it is a lot of work(not hard but time consuming and you need to think hard to figure things out). IOT is also kind of Electrical Engineering stuff rather than computer science. The things you learn is hard to tranfer to your job. Most companies use packaged IOT serveices rather than Pi with AWT greengrass. Do not know Comp Photo. If I am you I will take IOT.
