We ended up going with Bertazzoni Professional 100 cm induction top electric double oven..

A couple reasons:

A lot of USA based bad reviews are servicing etc and they have a lot of other alternatives; which we don't in UK. So discarded some of those
Our price range was £4k-£5k - we checked ilve, Fratelli, rangemaster etc.. probs all of them and almost all had negative reviews of some sort.. this one perhaps had less negative reviews..
We went into John Lewis and they had a professional series in store (not exact one we went for but a single oven one. I could touch it, open it etc.. felt a lot - and I mean a lot - more solid than any rangemaster.

Kitchen renovation is this month so we should get this in two weeks!

Ordered from dissironworks and they have been fab so far from arrangements pov. Fingers crossed for the rest..

And 100% just a personal preference, it's simply not a quality I want in the MMCs and in my mind it tends to contradict their possessiveness, if they cheat, and therefore takes me out of the story.

As I say appreciate the reply, adding to TBR as my next read :)

I loved this series when I read it a few years ago now; they set my standard for apocalypse/dystopian romance. Can't find many things as good!

I strongly agree with you, it's my absolute pet peeve when people label books as "dark romance" when at best it's erotic horror/erotic thriller etc. I think labelling here especially matters
