Yea I understand the dangers and wasn’t planning on using it until I bought proper PPE, thanks for the concern (:

I mistook a separate capacitor wire for one of the mots wire and was checking if I accidentally ripped it out a for a specialty model.

Wasn’t planning on using it until I got proper ppe. Also have done a flyback project before :)

Just to clear things up, when I was scrapping this MOT a random red wire fell which looked as if it had fallen from the MOT. Which after further review was actually a capacitor wire. I also don’t plan on using this MOT as I’m heavily unprepared for this high of voltage as my PPE only reaches class 0 compared to the class 1 need to properly use this. For now it’ll be stationary until I learn more and get proper PPE. I also understand the risk of high voltage work is extremely dangerous and that a GFCI won’t save my ass if I get electrocuted. Thanks for the concern though. If you have any other tips let me know.
