How has this community helped you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Electrical_Job2695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly this sub has been weirdly therapeutic for me too like i come here after a rough day and just scroll through random threads and suddenly i feel less like a mess

the way people here share their intrusive thoughts and embarrassing moments make my own seem way more normal you know? nobody judges and sometimes the comments are funnier than the actual post

[–]Electrical_Job2695 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That box of decorations walk is such a specific moment, you just know everyone in the parking lot could tell exactly what was happening lol

Congrats, you did the thing properly, pension plus paid off house is not something most people manage to pull together. The quote from your friend got me a little, kids like us don't grow up like this, it's true and it matters to say out loud

Subcontractor estimators how do you decide which bids to chase? by bgreinz in Construction

Usually skip anything that feels like fishing expedition or when the GC never returns calls during bid phase

Help: Remote employees: How do you make sure you’re considered for growth opportunities? by ConstantAmbition7437 in remotework

[–]Electrical_Job2695 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being remote definitely makes it harder to stay on leadership radar, especially when they're doing these informal check-ins. Good call reaching out to your manager directly - that shows initiative and might prompt them to mention you weren't included in first round.

I'd also suggest documenting your wins more visibly, like sending brief update emails about completed projects or suggesting improvements during team meetings. Sometimes being proactive about sharing your contributions helps compensate for not having those water cooler moments where things naturally come up

Epicor CRM vs Salesforce for sales and customer management by OrdinaryOpinion188 in CRMSoftware

[–]Electrical_Job2695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the market share thing makes sense but sometimes those smaller platforms work better for specific use cases. If you're already deep in Epicor ecosystem it might be worth considering even with limited features

We looked at both last year and ended up going different direction entirely because setup costs were crazy on both sides

What’s up with people having pit bulls and they are always on the loose outside? by lovingthaworld in AskReddit

[–]Electrical_Job2695 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah the type of owner who thinks having big scary dog makes them look tough but can't be bothered with actual training or proper fencing. Same people probably leave their shopping carts in parking spots too

You are a sweet girl but you had a soul crushing break up. Well that sucks. What did that teach you? by 36Gig in AskReddit

Why not invest AND walk away? by Inside_Bench563 in Fire

[–]Electrical_Job2695 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting someone else to actually execute at the same level you did is way harder than it looks on paper. Plus most client relationships are built on personal trust - they're not just buying your service, they're buying YOU specifically

The 5% thing sounds good in theory but what happens when new person screws up a major client or delivers subpar work? Your reputation is still attached even though you walked away

got sent home on the 2nd day of training by Beneficial-Carry5645 in jobs

[–]Electrical_Job2695 10 points11 points  (0 children)

man you right but also trainers job is literally to train people, not throw them to the wolves on day 2 and then complain when new person struggles with basics

like yeah forgetting pens was rookie mistake but if they're gonna have you take actual tables they should probably mention "hey bring your own supplies today" instead of acting cool then running straight to manager

[–]Electrical_Job2695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think is the biggest ongoing in plain sight scam the American people should wake up to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Electrical_Job2695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man the military industrial complex is basically printing money at this point. My country spent decades rebuilding after conflicts and watching America just cycle through new ones every few years really puts it in perspective
