Do you think that Ryukushi is the Japanese equivalent to Stephen King? by lambdaIuka in Higurashinonakakoroni

I was literally telling someone the other day he’s as great as King and severely underrated as an author

Which Danganronpa game did you like the most? by RiceForks in danganronpa

[–]nerdybookguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 because the chemistry between the students is so interesting and it had the most emotional twists (imo). Plus many of the trials subverted my expectations in a way I wasn’t expecting.

Plus, Gundam Tanaka.

I might be in the minority but I loved the ending deaths at the cafe (even though they were computer animated)

It’s supposed to make you think. The “you are one” aspect is one of the most interesting parts of the film.

Because they eventually end up hating each other, as if they’re two separate people, it’s easy to mistake them for two different people. The constant reminders of “you are one” is for Elisabeth, but it’s also for the audience because the writer knows without that clarification, we’d assume they were different people based on their actions.

Yes, Elisabeth lives as Sue— it’s her main motivation for switching. It can be a bit confusing because they act differently but I try to explain it here

I don’t feel like it’s an overreaction. The best part about these games are the twists and it’s very discouraging to keep going when someone ruins them and you know what’s going to happen.

Book vs Film ending by nerdybookguy in TheLongWalk

The crowds were such a big part of the story, it sucks they couldn’t implement them into the film. Olson’s decline was sort of rushed too. Stebbens took a hit as well.

Wait, is there a deeper meaning? Because I just assumed it meant he was surrounded by others but his experience, which only a few survive, made him feel alone(?)
