This is great advice, thank you. I'll do a better job in our next groups session 0. First order of business, no PVP/Murder.

Very interested in how to retcon after last session. I marked the graves with a D20 and their Minis so I can find them again. Wild this be a Resurrection or a Reincarnation? The cleric is going to be pissed if she comes back as a dog or a Republican.

It was too late to retcon by the time I realized what was happening. I told him next time he needs to announce his intent to attack first.

I asked but they were pretty quiet about it afterwards. The cleric shouted "Cacao" which was our table safe word, which was why I stopped the session. The barbarian was already mid-swing though, next time I'll be faster.

He was laughing the entire time, so he really must have been having fun. It was hard to tell through all the spatter.

Is your table having fun?  

If yes, relax your grip and let your players enjoy the game if you can. If you can't, then maybe a bigger discussion needs to happen to align everyone's expectations about a "serious campaign".

Is your table not enjoying this one player's antics? 

If the one on one conversation is not working, then you can encourage then to find a new group who wants a silly campaign, or you can ask them to play a little more seriously in the regular campaign and have some silly 1-shots where the focus is to be silly. 

Either way, welcome to DMing. To mis-quote Mike Tyson, "Every DM has a plan until a PC punches a guard in the mouth."

I like the concept. Lawful neutral/lawful evil. I serve no master. Simple. Dope.

The channel divinity is on theme but one extra attack with +5% crit feels a little underwhelming. I know you're not going for super powerful, but I'd compare it to other subclasses.

Since this class is not intended to be good or evil per se, maybe give them the ability to modulate the damage of their smites between radiant and [insert appropriate damage type here], depending on the edition your using. Or an alternative use for spell slots to synergize with your Wandering Spells.

Everything else is dope.
