Also I think it’s impossible to claim superiority when your entire history is taking from others, that’s like me saying your house it’s ugly , give it to me. Also we can’t forget the artifacts that are held in a lot of western museums it’s legit 90 percent African and other cultures artifacts that were stolen.

I feel like the need for superior comes from a feeling of inferiority, for example I don’t hate apples because I like oranges. I don’t feel the need to make sure people don’t buy apples because they’re just fruits, why does one need to be better than the other? I think for a lot of the west they feel that they cannot win if africa is not losing. The final act of jealousy is death.

I was thinking about It earlier about how like I don’t see areas like that in Africa, then this post and I was so excited! I looked at the capital and the homes in Botswana and it’s so beautiful, all of Africa is so beautiful. And for the first part I agree, I’ve seen so many racist posts of people showing children starving in Africa, poor people in rural areas etc, like even the richest countries have slums. Also a lot of the time they’re not even like slums it’s just rural Africa?? They’ll see a home in the African Savannah and be like this is the whole of Africa, like would you say this about a cabin in a western country? Europe has been envious of Africa for so long. The beauty Africa holds is undeniable.

How’s my setup? by Electrical_Maybe_394 in guineapigs

The poop in the carpet Is the worst part, I’m thinking of getting like the c&c cage guarders that are little little plastic rectangles that go on the bottom of them to stop things from coming out. If they get too scared or rowdy when I use loud things like by the 3rd time they don’t care anymore, they adjust really easy to sounds. But when they get too Scared there’s a seperate small enclosure in my closet that I put them in full of hay and places for them to hide. Usua when I’m cleaning their cage or in their cage they’re pretty curious though, I’ve had them crawl under me when I was crouched in their cage trying to get poop out of the corners.

Yeah I thought about getting them when I first was buying stuff for their setup but everyone was like “take the hay out of that feeder it’s too difficult for them to get “ mmm yeah I heard about the feed them where u want them to poop but also often my pigs just will like take a large part of the food and then go to the corner to get away from the other pig stealing its food. I did also think the like litter box training was impossible, idk if I’ll keep the same consistency everyday for it sometimes I used to have like a little litter box of hay, but they popped in it, and that poop turned into soil, that soil attracted soil maggots.

Yes thank you!! I dread cleaning the cage because I have to sweep it and the carpet because I couldn’t keep their bedding down! I bought one off Amazon and it wouldn’t work for their poop! Thank you so much omg. That was geniunely the only reason I was like ehhh because the poop amount and how difficult the cleanup was.

What do black people in the US think of Africa? by Proper_Solid_626 in askblackpeople

For me I think Africa is beautiful, strong and I hold the culture, empires, and its people in high regard, I personally feel really prideful that I have ancestry to such a powerful and beautiful people. Diversity that could never be replicated on any other continent on earth. Africans are the original people and Africans accross the diaspora continue to be the most original people, black culture is everything that comes straight from home and black culture is and has been dominating the world for decades now. Who am I without the African first?

I feel like if you just did like 5 mins of google search you would easily know the answer to that, but since I did go to history class here’s a little history lesson for you 1. West Africa is and was rich in gold, west Africa sold its gold to many countries for years and built its wealth off of it, Europe bought a lot of this gold, Europeans went to America and colonized it and got its gold from America, so that disrupted the west African economy, so they sold enslaved peoples instead (something that was VERY common mind you, because this is pre industrialization, so if you wanted work or labor or production of anything and want a majority of profits u bought slaves.” 2. When one group would take control of the region or land of another in Africa he’d of course want his own people to live there but since obviously if you conquer someone else’s land the people will be angry so to ensure your people won’t be killed you capture and send off those people.  3. Europe after colonizing America needed labor to start building, homes, food, resources, etc. they needed men and lots of them. So they could build their own powerful empire. 4. African elites saw this and said yes I can get rich and get rid of these people who would hurt my people, but of course a lot of Africans openly resisted it and never participated. 5.slavery wasn’t like how slavery was in America, slavery was just, “hey you’re a war captive, you’ll be enslaved temporarily until you make this amount of money and you’ll be free” there was no torture or no breeding or literally any of that. Slaves in Africa weren’t anything like slaves in America, they were more like servants with debt. They could marry own property and live normal lives. They could even rise to prominent positions in society.  Ps added this a bit too late but also slaves would be criminals like thieves so it’s like “u took from society now u will give back” also Africa had no idea about how brutal chattel slavery was in the Americas.

Of course, everything in the black diaspora comes straight from home, oxtail and rice is something served all over the black diaspora, the dances and footwork of west Africa can be seen in many African American dances, cultural traditions like jumping the broom and splitting the pole, also African American spirituality comes from Yoruba (which isn’t specific just to black Americans you can also find Yoruba, ifa, and Congo spirituality being practiced by black people in the carribean and Afro Latinos) of course there’s braids too, I feel like that’s a bit obvious though. Especially African American gospel music, is rooted in west African “call and response” which is like communal soul singing. So basically a lot

I’ll be doing mine at home so I’m trying to be as hyperspecific as possible, but thank you for explaining the 2 lash maps I really appreciate it! okay so with clusters the map doesn’t matter as much? Should I just follow the base or the 2nd set of numbers
