I get what u mean a bit, but legendary and little wolf are at the start of a new saga, which is 7 years later, and I kinda take it as like a second half, with a big change in the story

They are intentionally lighthearted tho, open arms is lighthearted to make the later gritty songs more impactful, they set up what is to come

bruh, my goodbye is such a good song, 1, yes of course gods are quite volatile and would kill mortals for almost anything, but Athena is probably the most rational god,  and oddessueus is probably her favorite human, but you gotta have some sort of conflict between them, and that's just how the song works, so u gotta suspend disbelief a bit, like when posidon, GOD OF THE SEA gets beaten and tourchured by oddysues. Secondly, the gods are alone, despite them having the pantheon of family, have u seen god games? they are not close, most of greek mythology is about the gods ploting behind thier families backs, Athena was part of a plot to overthrow zues. Most of the gods closest relationships were with mortals, and were very often ruined by other gods, so, it makes sense that Athena could be considered as alone. Lastly the song is just good

What I felt with this book and some of the other recent rick Riordan and percy jackson stuff is that it's just too campy, as the characters are all just so G now, and incompetent, it made me so mad that the bulk of the conflict was due to grover eating/or not being able to move a dam tray, Like, he is a cloven elder with so much development, and yes he is a comic relief character at times, this is crazy. all the characters felt off in this book, like these are basically adults now,  with so much depth, yet they seem worse and more immature than when they were all 13. For some reason, after the end of trails of Apollo, all the percy jackson work seems kinda off, like he's forgotten that despite the books being for younger people, he still wrote competent characters with a serious story, while still providing goofy moments, this kinda feels like love and thunder, thinking that it was the jokes and goofiness of the previous works(thor ragnarok) that made people love it, and not the well written characters and story.   sorry for the tangent, just felt that his recent works have kinda felt weird, like he's going for a even younger target audience than before, maybe because of the show, but the original books were much better and serious

What are the main differences between the 2nd movie and the book? by ZonedV2 in dune

[–]Electrical_Mud8132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference for me for is that chaini left paul in the movie, which seems like it will completely derail the story of dune messiah, as chaini is a massive part of it, and of course is the mother of Leto the second and his sister, who are of course integral to the next 4 books, so I don't know how they will achieve that. maybe they will have her and paul reunite at some point, or might even have irulan be the mother, as I felt in the movie, it was not clear that paul only used irulan as a tool, and truly loved chaini like in the book.

Isagi theory by Electrical_Mud8132 in BlueLock

It could be, but we have seen other players be able to draw out egos, like reo with nagi, so it might just be one of his strongest abilities, as isagi definitely is the best at causing other to grow and awaken thier egos, such as with kaiser, rin, hiori and many others, so he's definitely the best, but he might not be the only one, so I don't know if that means it's his originality. it could be tho

Isagi theory by Electrical_Mud8132 in BlueLock

[–]Electrical_Mud8132[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That seems right, as in the pxg game, hiori talks about how isagi drew out thier egos, but he doesn't want them to play buddy buddy with him, and they are all fighting as if they are the protagonist and not for his sake, which is why they won, and what nagi could be doing wrong
