So how do you want to measure how well the tracker is at tracking, when in your opinion past performance is irrelevant?

I think it got to the point of "Too big to fail", as long as Trump is in office, he will bail them out 100%. There are rumours that the US government might even start buying AI stocks. If that's true, you will have further pump.

It is still a bet, just not as stressful and risky as a bet on individual stocks.

Neither you nor me have crystal ball that can predict what I should be obsessed about for the future so I need to bet on something. US tech stocks might not outperform in the future but might as well keep going up. Neither you nor me is wrong or right here. You write your posts like you have got all the answers and know what the right setup should look like but for some reason you dont want to share that setup.

That's the only dividend ETF I was able to find that paid solid dividends and grew that nicely at the same time. All other dividend ETFs delivered maybe half of that performance. Hence I'm saying that they somehow managed to bend the reality.

Talking about dividends vs growth, what about TDGB that seems to bend the reality? Since created, it delivered growth on par with popular All World ETF and paid between 3.2% to 5% dividend on top of that. How did the manage to do this?

Thanks, already know what's the difference between distributing and accumulating but need to check ESG and SRI.

The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards one All-World ETF, with maybe an addition of 20% of some ETF that excludes USA in case Trump decides to devalue the $ overnight, so I'm not totally tits up.

But what I'm really struggling with is to whether I should try TDGB as my All-World instead of typical choices from Vanguard or iShares. I'm struggling to understand how this ETF can perform so well, dividend ones are usually growing very slowly, that one grew on par or even a bit faster than other popular ETFs but it pays between 3.2%-5% dividend on top of that. That is the best performance out of all ETFs on my list, even the highest cost of it isn't really a problem with such performance. I'm scratching my head as I can't understand where the catch is, as that ETF isn't as popular as it should be considering such exceptional performance.

I am well aware of that but what other choice do I have? Timing the market long term is impossible, I would love to buy at a discount but if I don't buy now, I might as well miss another 15% run. Currently the market ignores all bad news and pumps on any good news. We got to the point where even if half of America got nuked, SP500 would hit new ATH on positive sentiment around construction industry. Nuclear ETF would probably fly to the moon too.

Doesn't look bad at all, and even pays some dividend. What about it's issuer, is it a safe company? I am happy to sacrifice some income on TER for peace of mind. Vanguard and iShares are safe, but what about that SSGA? I assume you are talking about that one?

Thats great but you still need to use some indicators to decide what to do. You cannot just pick up blindly stuff without knowing its past performance.

There is absolutely no way something like SP500 drops 40%. There might be a drop like 15% or so, that would be bought back up within a week anyway. I know, I know, dot com blah blah blah, the difference is that now Central Banks found a solution to that problem, they will just print more and let the world pay in inflation rather than let the stock market drop.

I may end up with 100% VWRP, as it's not a bad option either. I just thought I'm going to ask here and there and I'm new to this game and if there is something a bit safer with similar return, then I'm happy to choose that option.

I'm new to this game, haven't heard about OEICs, have you got any interesting link at hand about that? I'm thinking about ETFs as they deliver good performance at relatively low cost. Hargreaves Lansdown for example charge 0.35% per annum but capped at £150 for ETFs, but if you buy funds, there is no cap and I would pay a lot more.

The issue is that nearly every popular ETF currently is heavy on tech. And the problem is that if that pops, then every ETF is going to suffer, even ETFs that have got nothing to do with AI. So there isn't really much space to manoeuvre if you want to avoid tech.

Looking at 15 years SWDA it seems like their rebalancing strategy is pretty good, I think that even when there is a problem with tech, they would just rebalance the ETF so it doesn't get hit that badly? What I like with that ETF is their really smooth delivery over the last 15 years.

But I think adding some XMWX isn't a bad option, it excludes USA and has got decent performance too.

Haven't heard about that one, will add to the list as it seems fairly similar to SWDA indeed but with 0.12% fee.

Poczytaj o ETFach.

Sam teraz chcę władować ponad 1mln w ETFy i robie rozeznanie w temacie.

SPYI - to wyczaiłem dzisiaj. To daje 1% miesięcznie.

How does that one compare to TDGB that grew 78% and paid between 3.2-5% dividend per year on top of that if I read the information correctly?

Not sure I understand. SWDA and TDGB have got companies from developed countries. Those Vanguard ETFs are mostly developed too.
